I've seen one episode. I'm not sure if I'll continue. I hate Westerns, something about the dusty landscape that bothers me. Set it in Ireland and I'll watch the whole thing. I was also watching Humans at the same time on Amazon Prime, also about synthetic humans, and I liked that a whole lot better.
HBO shows are so often great, yet over the top with the boobies and gratuitous violence and background sex just "because they can". It gets wearisome.

My husband loves it which is why I keep watching otherwise I might not. Even though it's "robots" I turn away to avoid the violence. I agree they pepper shows with that and sex without any real need. The premise of going to a theme park where you can act out however you want without consequence is interesting to think about given the popularity of all the shows with gratuitous sex and violence.

I absolutely LOVE this show! I'm not sure what episode # I'm on, but it's not 'just a Western' that's just where it happens to be set. I'm trying to pace myself with watching episodes, though, because there really aren't that many left... I could easily binge-watch, but then I think I'd miss some of the details.
who's the corporation?? what's the big secret behind it all?? Is there one?? --are they all robots?? --what's at the center of the maze?? --is Delores becoming self-aware?? Is Bernard encouraging it?? but why?
don't tell me your guesses, those are just the things that go thru my head when I'm watching! I'm impatient to find out the answers, but at the same time, I want it to last as long as I can make it, lol!!
ETA: I don't mind the western setting-- I loved the show Deadwood; so that doesn't bother me.

I started out really liking it, but by probably the third episode I was really having a hard time with the violence, especially the rape scenes with the woman. I can't stomach it anymore, I quit after the 5th episode. It just got too dark and wasn't really going anywhere fast enough for me.

I've been watching it, but it got a bit slow there for a while. I like trying to figure out the music they are playing. Last episode it was Back to Black and House of the Rising Sun.

I don't want to watch any rape scenes and I figured that was coming. GoT and Outlander are bad enough, but at least they're not set in a dusty leathery tumbleweeded wasteland! I think what disturbs me is that IF this were a possible thing, there would be people all over the chance to hurt someone (even a "fake" someone) without consequences.
