My dd really, really wants an underwater camera case for her iPhone 6 something or another. (I will find out exact iPhone 6 when she gets home from school as her father pays for it) We have talked about possibility of dropping it on the ocean floor and my concerns with that possible expense to replace the phone. She will use a strap of some sort and will be as careful as one can be with it. We have used underwater disposable cameras in the past with very poor results.
I have found one at Target for around 80.00. I tried to search online and only found waterproof cases basically to be around water and maybe save a phone from accidentally being dropped into the water.
Recommendations for a case that will protect the phone while snorkeling and doesn't break the bank or is this target version the best bet? Our trip is in February but this would make a great Christmas gift.

That price sounds completely reasonable to me. I spent like $100 on one a few years ago. Just make sure she checks it before using it each time, mine got a small leak and I didn't know until my phone was in the pool and water got in and ruined my phone.

Didn't know if there was one go-to brand or something like that. We will definitely do a check first.

I used a $10 case I bought from amazon last year when I went to Cancun. It had a string to go around my neck and I wore it at a water park lazy river and in the underground caves I swam in. You can't use flash with the case and thus anything underwater is going to be darker.
