I'm sure there were a million discussions on this at two peas, but I'd love some fresh insights. As shocking as this is, I have zero border punches or dies! I do have a big shot, but am thinking I'd like actual punches to use for borders (primarily for cards, but PL and general scrapbooking as well). I'm currently considering the American Crafts Knock Out Punch System store.scrapbook.com/ac-63013.html?w=knock+outs (I love the smaller size for storage and the price point ) I'm also thinking about some combo of the We R Memory Keepers with the border bunches and mini 8's craftysteals.com/shop/we-r-memory-keepers-4-punch-combo-pack/I've heard great things about Martha Stewart punches…but please share with me what you use and love!

I use mostly Martha Stewart punches and love them! My fav and most used border punches are Framed Dots and Doily Lace, but there are tons to choose from depending on your style. Easy to line up and have never had trouble with the punch!

My favorite is still the Threading Water punch from Fiskars. The source of my first frenzy. **sigh** the good old days.

This is my favourite favourite border punch - it does NOT punch out the small dots, just gives a great sized scallop... store.scrapbooking-warehouse.com/088478.htm [HASH].U-krzPldW5M I've found the EK success, Martha Stewart, and fiskars border punches all work well. But the fiskars are bulky to store.

My my other goto punches are notebook paper edge, postage stamp edge, and threading water.

My favorites are Martha Stewart. I have a few EK Success punches, too, that I like.

I have the American Crafts Knock-Out punches and I love them! They take up less space and have a decent variety of punches to choose from. It is easy to pop the guides in and out. My only gripe is that I wish that they had a storage system that would fit all of their punches. I don't have the WRMK punch set that you are also interested in. I took a look at them and noticed that they are more intricate and "fancy" for lack of a better term. What kind of cards do you plan on making and which do you think that you will get more use from? I also have some of the Martha Stewart punches and while I like them I don't use them nearly as often as my Knock-Outs. They are a good quality punch though. My favorites from her line though are not the borders. She has a multiple heart punch that would be good for cards. It punches 4 or 5 hearts in various sizes. She has several butterfly punches that I adore as well, and my other favorite is a doily/flower to use as a base for embellishing my layouts but that could also translate to cards. Good luck and I hope that this helps a bit!

My current favorite border punch is an EK success punch called dotted scallop, it's a tiny little scallop with a small dot in the center of each scallop...super adorable!

I do like Martha Stewart too. I don't have any of her border punches, but I sure get a lot of millage out of her simple little heart punch.

I saw some of the AC knockouts in Tuesday Morning. I think it was $19.99 for the set.
I have some EK success, a couple of Martha Stewart and some fiskars. I use the morrocan one from EK success a lot and the lacey scalloped one from Martha most.

I have three shelves worth of edgers and 18 of the Lucky 8 (small and large) punches hanging on my closet doors. The Lucky 8 punches are fantastic. They are harder to store. I haven't ever had a problem with my EK Success or Martha Stewart punches either. When they get wonky, I punch out some aluminum foil and they are good to go. TM had lots of the large and small Lucky 8 punches for $7.99 and $9.99.

I also really like an older MS called Optic Dot

The dots are NOT noticible, especially if you punch out of thicker paper (thin thin paper would emboss quickly) and if you don't push that extra bit to get the embossing. I flatten out the 2 dots on mine that seem to emboss (literaly 2 dots tho!) by rubbing on the back side lightly. Most people say they don't get any dots embossed!

I try to press lightly. What dots do show up are ones only I would notice so I just let them be. On occasion I press too hard and as noted above a little gentle rub erases them. I thank Nichol Magouirk for this one!!
