Do you have a favorite vellum for printing images? Thanks,

Don't know about printing images on vellum. I used to type my journaling onto Generations sticky-back vellum I picked up from Staples Office supply store, and print it on my inkjet printer.
What I learned was it takes a LONG time to dry ink on vellum. I liked that because I could sprinkle on embossing powder and then heat emboss to make the lettering stand out.
What is the project you are working on? Would love to hear how it turns out.

I've been using the Recollections vellum from Michael's.
I haven't printed on it, but it holds up to heat embossing without curling too much. And I think you will have to use give it some heat to dry/set the printing.

My favourite vellum hands down is PTI's vellum cardstock. It's super thick and embosses really well. It's also sturdy enough to actually used as a card base. I print on it as well. I think all ink jet printing takes a while to dry on vellum so I always use a heat gun on mine to speed it along a bit.

I don't recall the brand off hand, but I have some ink-jet vellum that I ordered from Amazon awhile back. I haven't tested the drying time and usually let it just sit overnight. I have also embossed on it with minimal curling.

I just watched Jen Schow's YT video on her 2015 December Daily, and she printed on plain old Hobby Lobby vellum. It looked great, honestly.

Update - I got some Recollections Vellum and printed on it - looks great and no smearing. Of course, I just let it set for a few hours after printing since I wasn't in a hurry for it.

Thanks for the update! I think the drying time is the key. Some brands can stand up to heat setting, but if you have time--and patience--time works best.

There used to be a product - Printing Pouch, I think - that you rub over the vellum before printing. It is a fine powder that helps the ink stick better. I think it is similar to this Also very useful when embossing.
