I did post this on the General Scrapbooking board but that one doesn't get much traffic so thought I'd post it here where I spend the majority of my time/
I'm in the process of putting together a digital photo book of early family photos of my husbands family for his father who has Alzheimers. So I want to tag the photos with names.
I'm looking so far at Snapfish, Shutterfly and Costco. Anyone have any experience with these companies about how good the quality is for their photo books?
Thank you!

Ive used Shutterfly a few times when I have had free book coupon codes. They have come back great. I have also used Picassa with great results.

I absolutely love Shutterfly. They have great customer service, too. I believe right now they even have Groupons available so you might be able to save a little bit. I do at least one big photo book a year. This year I think I've done about 4!

Of those three, I have only used Shutterfly. But, I find them clunky and a bit of a pain in the butt to work with. My favorite for photo books is mixbook.com. Love their designs and how easy it is to customize the layouts. They are having a huge sale thru tomorrow...code HOLLY for up to 45-55% off.

I've used Snapfish, and I don't love the product. The pictures are a little off.

We've always used Shutterfly, but I wouldn't mind trying Costco.

I used Snapfish about ten years ago and it was ok.
Then a few years later I tried Shutterfly and it was much better.
I don't know if it is from because technology is better or if Shutterfly is better.
But I've been using Shutterfly ever since and I am very happy with them.
DD just did a photobook of her study abroad travels and it came out great.
I'm making a few things for Christmas presents and have a few things in my cart.
So... I'm getting all of these Shutterfly ads--even here!
But I don't mind, it reminds me I need to get the things done.

Photo quality has been awesome. I started working with mixbook and find it pretty easy to maneuver! I also found a 50% off through 11/30 which is good as I have 150 photos to scrap. 60 down 90 to go! Thanks again for the recommendation.

I've used Costco and Apple and both were excellent quality and easy to work with and a very fast turnaround.

Picaboo and Photobook America always have GREAT deals on Groupon. I have used both companies multiple times, and never had any issues whatsoever. I also use Shutterfly, but find their software to be not very user friendly.

I have used Snapfish and Shutterfly for albums. I would not order another album from Snapfish. I have about 10Shutterfly albums and always send one to my in laws. The quality is good and there are various options for layouts.

Photo quality has been awesome. cmpeter Thank you for the recommendation of Mixbook. I received my copy today of a 49 page scrapbook and couldn't be more pleased. The video quality was great and the program was very intuitive and easy plus great coupons! Thanks for responding to my thread.
