Does anyone have one of these? I've shared before on here, that I CAN NOT COOK RICE! seriously I can't. I mean, I am a reasonably good cook. I can cook everything else. The ONLY way I can cook rice is minute rice. I had a rice cooker, the Ps praised and raved about it. HATED it. Never turned out. YES I follow the directions. Ok. got this microwave rice cooker from Pampered chef. Can NOT go wrong. can NOT mess it up. Yea!! right. Last night, it was a blob of congealed, dry rice on the bottom. I think the problem is, is that you have to cook it for 5 mins on high power, THEN decrease it to 50% power and cook for 15? It takes awhile to switch it down to 50%. I can NEVER remember how to do this. Anyway, due to this, I had to go back to my back up minute rice again. It's frustrating!! How can I NOT cook rice!!
So does anyone else use the pampered chef rice cooker? I mean, I want to use it! I spent some good money on it! is there anyway you can do it without decreasing it to 50%?

I have one and LOVE it. Maybe it's the rice you're using?!? I buy Uncle Ben's in the bag (converted maybe?). I make a lot so I use 2 cups of rice and 5 cups of liquid with a little butter or olive oil. It takes about 25 minutes on high and is perfect.

I have one and it's the only way that I can make rice. I just set my timer for five minutes, when the timer goes off I switch it to 50% for the remaining time. On my microwave you just hit the power level button a few times to get to 50%.

No, I use real long grain rice. Can't remember the brand. Starts with a M. Mexican I think. Yea, it's THAT easy. Sticking my tongue out at Ellen, Seriously, I think our microwave needs a computer degree to run it.

Have it and can't imagine doing rice any other way. Perfect every time and it doesn't use up a burner on the stove. Microwave rice cooking is awesome.
