I'd really like to buy a queen-sized sofa sleeper for my husband's home office so we can use the room for guests when needed.
I want something that is actually comfortable. I'm far less worried about price than I am comfort.
Do you have a sofa sleeper that is truly comfortable? Have you slept on one that you liked? What do you recommend?
Thanks so much!

Sleep and sofa just don't go together, never has there been one that was comfortable.

We have one, add a feather bed to it when guests come. But, would strongly recommend a futon with a great mattress instead. We have both in our condo when company comes and we have slept on the futon, got a queen size, very comfortable.

I would consider a wall bed instead. My MIL has one in her craft room in Arizona. It's a regular mattress and very comfortable. I can raise and lower it with one hand.
I think the Sleep Number stores have a sleeper sofa. I'd think that would be comfortable.

We used to have a sofa sleeper. It was pretty good. We would put an extra mattress pad on it for people. the sofa itself was HORRIBLY heavy. And moving it 3xs got too much, so when we got a new sofa, we didn't get a sleeper one. I sort of miss it, it would be nice to have every once in awhile!!

La-Z-Boy has sofa beds with an partly inflatable mattress (or at least they did 10 years ago.). We have one at out cottage and everyone comments how comfortable it is. We also have a very ancient uncomfortable sofa bed in the basement there. We had an extra foam mattress topper sitting around so I put that on a couple of times when we had too many guests. My daughter volunteered to sleep down there because it was so comfy! Those toppers take up a lot of space to store though. Can't fold the bed up with it on.

My leather recliner is more comfortable to sleep in than any sleeper sofa I have sat or slept on! Will you use the couch to sit on? They are typically so uncomfortable. Good luck, I hope what you want exists !

We had one for years. While it was comfortable to sit on as a sofa, it was not comfortable as a bed. It was extremely heavy too. I don't miss that thing at all and would never buy another one.

we have a very comfortable sleeper sofa. We did put a foam topper on it and everyone says they cannot believe how comfy it is. The topper even folds up into the sofa. A murphy bed is a good idea, too, but I don't think I would do a futon.

I have a very comfortable lazy boy sofa bed. It has a blow up mattress but that mattress is encased inside a very thick mattress cover. When air is added it looks and feels like a regular mattress. The people who have slept on it have raved about how comfortable it is. I also like how comfortable it is as a sofa!

If you don't want to deal with a sleep sofa, you could try an elevated air mattress - they are nearly as high as a normal bed, so your guests don't feel like they're sleeping on the floor.
We've always had a sleep sofa, since we have no guest room. None have been terribly comfortable, but it's not bad for a short stay.

We used to have a Laura Ashley one that was really comfortable as it had a proper spring base and mattress . Really missed it when I bought my current leather set.

We have one that we really like. We bought it three years ago, after much research. We wanted a sofa bed that also had removable slip-covers because we have dogs.
I found a place, Club Furniture, on-line, that sent out samples of fabrics and we had one custom made. Believe it or not, it's really comfortable. We got the 5-inch mattress and everyone who has ever slept on it has commented on the comfort.
