I really want a scanner for all my old photos and slides. I have NO idea about what's good and what isn't. Anyone have one they really like that's not horribly expensive? Anyone know of any good deals going on right now? I searched a bit on Amazon deals, on Best Buy, etc. but it wasn't much help since I have no idea if what I was looking at was any good.

I hope you get some responses. I'd like one, too!

I know BH posted about one on her blog a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it falls in that "horribly expensive" category. I have heard it is easy to use and does a great job.
Google also just came out with a scanning app. I only used it once for a LO and it wasn't as clear as i would have liked but i haven't tried it with somethung smaller and better light.

Shamelessly bumping my own thread in hopes that someone will have some recommendations.

I have the Epson v600 and love it. It was not too expensive and has met all expectations.
