I bought a dress from there. It was cute, but there was a hole in the front. I could see how they missed it because the dress had a print. They were nice about it and apologized, but didn't want to give me a refund for the shipping costs I had paid - only for the dress. After some back and forth, they agreed to give me store credit for the shipping costs. That soured me on them. I don't mind paying for shipping costs, but not on a damaged dress that was their error.

I'll check it out.
I made my first online consignment purchase last month from Poshmark. I wanted to replace an item and found the exact thing, brand and size. I'm still a little amazed. I'd been thinking I wish I'd bought two of these before I searched.

If they had just immediately offered a full refund, I would have ordered again. I wasn't put off by the damaged garment, but the way they handled it. No other store would insist the customer pay shipping on a damaged item they were unable to replace.

Selling is kind of a joke. I sent them a bag and they took 5 items and gave me $3.60. They donate what they don't take for selling to charity, or you can pay $13 to have your clothes sent back to you. I'll never send them clothes again unless I can claim it as a charitable contribution. I'd rather give my clothes to a local charity than revive pennies for an article of clothing.

I tried thredup way back when it was a kid's clothes and toys swapping site, but then they changed the format entirely to selling individual items which raised the prices considerably. I could get the same (or better) stuff for lower prices by shopping at the local pop up kid's consignment sales, and I could inspect the things personally before buying, so I haven't looked up the site since.

I have had good lucky buying from there and GREAT luck selling from Thread Up! I highly recommend. Do you have time to describe selling? First they are very picky. So only send things that are in perfect shape. You basically fill a bag. Mail it in. You can leave it for your mail person.. but I usually take it in to the post office If it is valued at under something like 50-60 they send you a check for every thing that they think will sell. If more that that they will send you a check when it sells. I send in a bag every 3 months or so.. there are always some things that they reject..and I always get a check. You can get things back if you choose to, I Have never done that.

Thanks for the link. I just spent a wonderful hour or more there looking through all that they offer in my size. I didn't find much that I am looking for now, but will keep it in mind for the future.
Thrift store shopping is my new favorite way to buy clothes.
