I just posted recently about how much I hate/fear anything to do with anything/anyone touching my eye or anyone else's eye and now ProBoards is running an ad across the top of the page showing a key unlocking/puncturing an eyeball!!! OMG! Just stop!
I never bothered with using an ad blocker here before, but this eyeball ad is inspiring me to do so. Good grief. It's like a nightmare every time I log in. :::shudder:::

So when I turn the ad-blocker on for this site, ProBoards gives me this message:
Oh trust me, you are more than annoying me with this ad. I don't care if it doesn't sign, dance, or jump across my screen. It's freaking me the hell out.

Rachel, is that you? I always pictured you as a slinky blonde Seriously, I hope you can get rid of the offending ad.

I use Tapatalk and there's an ad pretty much between every post. Haven't seen that one, but I will admit to being curious to "see what Mama June looks like now after her dramatic weight loss." Lol

The site uses tracking cookies. The more you post about anything eye related (even your disgust of the ad) is going to net you more eye related ads. Your vent is adding to the issue.
My advice, go delete your history and your cookies. Then, talk about other things and don't use the "eye" word. We all get different ads based on what we post and google about. Me, I'm getting a lot of college ads.

I left the ad-blocker on, so it's gone now. But the plea from ProBoards to turn it off is now at the top of every page. They're just going to have to live with it for a week or so before I trust them enough to try turning it off again. I get trying to tailor ads to what people post, but dang if that's what actually happened here (as opposed to a nasty coincidence) then they did a crappy job in this case. You're not supposed to advertise things people are afraid of for goodness sake. ETA: I was posting at the same time as you, voltagain.
