I am not one to make rash decisions or be indecisive. I worked at one place for five years. I really loved my job, my administrator and more. But the pay was not the best. So after looking for a year I saw a position similar to what I used to do. And it was almost $2 more. I also would have a ten minute drive than 30 minutes. After I put in my notice, my admin said she was leaving. So I thought I made a good choice. Now three months into my new job, I do not like it. I regret leaving. They still have not been able to fill my old position. I talked to the interim this morning she said I should talk to corp and see if I can come back. Am I just being a baby? I really hate this. I am glad I have a job while some are unemployed.. This is really only my fourth new job in 20+ years. That counts my HS job! I was at one place for 13 years. I had to leave due to harassment and discrimination. Thanks for reading my whine!

I know two people that worked for a company for many years, left, then came back. I would say call your old job ask, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yes, do contact them. Explain you left for the additional pay, but are willing to return. Hopefully, they will adjust your salary.

I say contact them, because otherwise, every time you have a bad day, you'll wonder about whether you could have gone back..........BUT, two things you should do.....
1/ take time to really consider why you left and how it made you feel to have what you considered to be better terms.
2/ Put in at least one other application for a job close to you with the terms you need or speak to a recruitment consultant about opportunities - I always think that, no matter how bad a situation I find myself in (and there have been a few!) there is a good reason I left the previous employer and I need to remind myself of that in order to be ablw to make the right decision.
Best of luck!

I think it doesn't hurt to contact them. Maybe they realize what they lost in you and would be willing to hire you back with a pay raise. Thing is, you'll always wonder "what if", so make the contact and go from there.
If you are truly unhappy where you are, then keep looking for something else or contact your old job. You never know what could come of it.

I did that where I work now. Worked with them for a year, took a year off, then came back. This year I applied and got promoted.
If they liked you before, they will most likely welcome you back.

We often rehire people. I'd make it clear I need more money. What do you have to lose?

It wouldn't hurt to inquire about going back.
BUT in my experience the three month mark is the hardest and the worst - once you hit 6 months it starts to get much better.
