She is interested in nursing and wants a medium to large size university. We heard the campus is very nice! We plan to visit in the spring. She likes to attend football and basketball games, not sure if she wants to join a sorority. She got a good scholarship offer, that's what really got us interested. The other schools she is interested in are large universities that she will not get a scholarship for, so we will be paying a lot of money.

While you are in the general area, take a trip to Saginaw Valley State University. It isn't in the city of Saginaw, has dorms that are top rated in the state (they all have full kitchens - stove, refrigerator, microwave), gives generous scholarships (but you have to apply by tomorrow, I think to be eligible - just an app, no essay required), and has an amazing set of nursing labs - I was enthralled by them. It is located near all kinds of restaurants and shopping, and freshmen can have cars on campus with no additional charge - and the parking is first come first served, so the freshmen don't have to park in BFE.

Thanks for the tip! I will tell her when she gets home from school. The dorms sound amazing!
