CONGRATS!! I missed that you'd had a new baby. Boy or girl? Healthy and beautiful? Thank you! I had a beautiful little girl arrive on November 11. We named her Navy and she was 3lbs 15oz so we spent the first week of her life in the NICU. We're home now and finding our groove slowly but surely. Congratulations! She's a tiny little thing.

Get well wishes heading out to many!
The leftover turkey is sitting alone and ignored in the back of the fridge. It may not make another appearance. I'm gulping down a sandwich before I head out to tutor. DH will most likley pick something up this evening. If not, he can eat leftover soup. Tuesday night is always kinda a low point in our dinner week.

I'm thinking of making Navy bean soup in the Instant Pot. Or nachos Tomorrow I want to make split pea soup. Yes I'm in a soup mood. Had canned tomato soup and grilled tuna melt for lunch yesterday. It's starting to get colder around here!

I am very tired today, so I'm going to go out to Pie Five for a quick dinner with a friend.

sueg, hope your hand heals. karinms, hope you feel better. seikashaven, congrats on the new baby, glad she is home with you. And hurray for dinners being brought in. I made pork tenderloin, rice and roasted Brussel sprouts for lunch. I would have subbed out the rice for roasted potatoes but ds had already claimed making dinner which was to be chicken wings and baked potatoes. I didn't want potatoes 2x in the same day even if they were fixed differently. DS even made his own sauce for the wings.

Yesterday was a fasting day for me. Normally I would have a light meal for dinner, no more than 300 calories. But I was stuck late at work, then I had to go grocery shopping. I got home at 7:45pm and then had to start preparing dinner for the next night - we're having family over for dinner for DD's birthday. So by the time I finished cooking it was 10:30pm so I didn't bother eating. I did have a couple of mouthfuls of mac & cheese that was left over from DS's dinner, plus a taste of the cob loaf dip that I made. That counts as dinner right?
