Does anyone have any great holiday appetizer party suggestions and recipes? Preferably something that can be prepped ahead of time.

This is very popular at holiday parties - I'm often asked to bring it Sundried Tomato / Pesto SpreadIt is easy to make a day or two ahead of time and keep in the fridge until the day of the party

One that I make that is always a big hit is the tortellini skewers. You can change this up as you like or with what ingredients you may have, but I always use the smallest tortellini available, cherry or grape tomatoes, good salami and a basil leaf and marinate them in a zesty Italian dressing. I get the small wood skewers off of Amazon (4-6 inch size) where you can get them by the hundreds inexpensively. Here is a couple of links with suggestions on how they do it. My favorite appetizer is so easy! Cream cheese smashed softly on a plate with with pepper jelly spread on top. You can use any cracker you like, triscuits with black pepper are good. It sounds weird, but omg people rave about and love it!!

These are on my list to make this year too. They're so pretty. And easy.

I find for parties that pick up and eat food items do better than dips (although I love some good dips, lol). My favorite to take is this roast beef and blue cheese crostini. Delicious! Crostini

This is my go to appetizer recipe: Antipasti BitesThe salami cups can be cooked ahead, then it's just a matter of putting the filling in. I'm actually making them tonight for DD's birthday dinner.

I've made this before, but the recipe I used also had chopped green pepper. I kind of forgot about this recipe and think I'll make it for our work potluck. SaveSave

Cranberry cream cheese dip is fabulous. I took it to a party last week, and people were standing around trying to figure out what was in it, as if it were a contest. Too funny!
