I just happened upon this blog that was created to provide reviews for Trader Joe foods. I was in the process of trying to find a local store that carries Halloumi cheese, which is how I stumbled into this blog. I hope my TJ's carries it! Anyway, I thought I should bring this site to the attention of all the Trader Joe shoppers here. I used to stop in on my way home from work, but haven't been in a couple of years now. I will be fixing that this week. Here is the site: What's Good at Trader Joe's

I'm not a Trader Joe's shopper - the one closest to me is in the worst possible spot for traffic!! But this is good for the Peas as we get those threads a lot. And what do you know, I might read it and go shop there anyway

I love Halloumi cheese! I follow a few TJs blogs. I definitely want to check out that Chili Chocolate Collection!

Is there another cheese that resembles Halloumi? My favorite cheese is Havarti. I've never become a Trader Joe's fan. When new to the TJ experience, a lot of brands are 'strange', in that they aren't carried by stores like Safeway or Albertson's. Once one merges into a TJ mindset, those brands become the norm but I've never shopped there enough for that to happen. Actually the only reason I go to TJ's is to buy the Hubs some Fat Weasel beer!

wow, I didn't know Traders Joes had enough interesting stuff to blog about. I'm going to have to go through it later to see if there's anything new I want to try. I have to say, I love TJ's Teriyaki Chicken. I keep extras in the freezer for when I don't feel like cooking. it's heats really well and tastes very good. that's my latest TJ's find. DH loves the chocolate covered sunflower seeds.

Thanks for sharing. We have loved almost everything we've gotten from Trader Joe's but it's an hour away so it will be nice to check out reviews.
If anyone likes Korean food my husband loves the Bi Bim Bap in the frozen section. He takes them to work and adds siracha.

Trader Joe's is walking distance from my house so we shop there a lot. Our household went a little crazy with the seasonal mango and pumpkin products. The mango mini pies were good, the pumpkin Joe Os were not. The dairy and bread are inexpensive so we buy a lot of it there. Lexica , halloumi is pretty common in markets that carry Armenian stuff. Jons supermarket has it, though the chain may not extend as far south as you. Also, there are some Mexican cheeses that fry the same way as halloumi if you need to substitute.

Actually the only reason I go to TJ's is to buy the Hubs some Fat Weasel beer A bunch of TJ items are store brand items, just packaged under the TJ's name. Their pita Chios are Stacey's pita chips. A bunch of their cereals are major brand cereals. The items you don't find in other stores ( a lot of their frozen and dessert items) are actually quite delicious. There is no frozen premade food I would buy from a chain grocery store, but I love all the premade frozen food I have tried at TJs. If you don't like something you buy there, take it back. They will refund your money, no questions asked.

I've been following that blog for awhile via FB and they always seem to find things that are either new or I don't think I would have tried, had I not read about it first. And for your amusement, this is the funniest thing I've read about TJ's. It may have been posted here a long time ago, but it's worth a repost: TJ's parking lots

I want to know what happened to the lemon bites. Those are the most delicious things in the world and they're just...gone.

They have a garlic English cheddar cheese that we just discovered. If you want to stay on a diet, do not under any circumstances bring that home. OMG, that is the best cheese.

HERE is an article on some comparisons of TJ items to name brands. Pretty interesting price difference!

I adore Trader Joe's!
There isn't one in my town though. The closest one is 180 miles away! Whenever we travel that way, I always make sure that we stop there!
