As of December 2, she is still finishing up the Design Decisions class, which was supposed to be completed on Nov 25.

I also received emails for Day 1 and Day 2, plus a Welcome email yesterday.

It started yesterday, Dec 1, as usual. If you have been part of it in the past, you can just go to the forum page and log in. I've received 3 emails so far - Welcome to JYC 2016, and days 1 and 2.

I wasn't part of it in the past. Was hoping to get in this year. Haven't seen any posts about doing that.
Thanks all.

I signed up yesterday. I just searched her site for journal your Christmas.
I've been wanting to do this for a while. It's exactly what I need right now.

I wondered if she was trying to let it go, quietly. After all, it's quite some time since she started it by giving the lifetime access and her life then was very different from what it is now. The scrapbooking world is also very different and I doubt very much that she would begin such a thing in the same format now. I've noticed that the daily emails are broadly similar in content each year and have only minor tweaks to keep them current. Still, as a means of prompting storytelling and offering motivation to create a Christmas or December journal, they are first class and remain my favourite online December project.
I went looking for stuff on 1 December because like many here, I was surprised not to hear from her. But yes, it's all there, I'm getting 2 emails a day and the forum and gallery are there as ever.

But, if she's making new prompts and sending out emails for this year, why not market the class and try to get new members to sign up so she would get paid for the work? If she would like to close it down, she could only send out an announcement to current members and let everyone keep lifetime access and use the content from previous years. There is such a huge treasure of content in there. Would keep anyone busy for years. I'm so happy that I signed up for it, years ago. She must have kicked herself over the 'lifetime membership', as she could have done like Ali Edwards and make people pay for it every new year.

I was super happy to get my Dec. 1 prompts and new videos too! If you signed up in previous years, you should be getting them. Otherwise, you can sign in to her message boards and it's all there. I was quite surprised actually that she's giving us new daily videos again (she's showing real-time her DD creating) because I know she's busy.
Love me my JYC!

I'm very happy to see that Shimelle is (somehow) managing to keep up with JYC and give us new process videos even though she seems horribly busy with other projects. I did see some stuff on Facebook a day or two before December started saying that it was coming. I don't know that there's ever much lead up in Nov. I seem to recall from past years that the sign up wasn't terribly well promoted on her website either - I think I had to really search for it and there wasn't as much marketing of it on the blog as I would have expected (compared to other people who can ONLY talk about their upcoming class/product release). But I guess it's at a level she's happy with, and she keeps up with the emails and forum posts My perception of her business now (since she had WonderBoy) is that she has lots of good intentions but she just can't do it all and something has to give. This year that seems to be the Glitter Girl videos, which I miss terribly. But I can understand why she has to give priority to new paid classes. Anyway, YAY! It's JYC time! Are you guys on the forum over there? I wish their forum had a LIKE button on posts like ours does. I want to like lots of posts. I'm already inspired by what's over there after just a couple of days

I'm already inspired by what's over there after just a couple of days I haven't started by JYC album yet this year as I'm still working through the last of the prompts on her Design Decisions course. I'm not sure yet if I'll post over there or just stick to the DD thread here.

I'm doing my tenth JYC album this year. It's awfully quiet on the forums, that's for sure. Participation level has really dropped from what it was like when I was just starting with it in 2006 and 2007.
The class is almost impossible to find on her site and she doesn't seem to promote it at all any more, so maybe she IS letting it wane over time. But I have gotten so much pleasure from the creating and sharing over the years!
I'm posting my pages over at the forum, my username is JanelleC.

I had every intention of doing it this year, and even asked about it on here. All of the info. I could find about it seemed to be a few years' old. But since I never learned anything concrete, I committed to a different project. Maybe next year!

I'm doing it. This is my second year. I'm enjoying the project, however it does seem quieter than even last year. I post under the name amymyers.
