Has anyone used Capital One for banking? Not credit cards. Any feedback? Good experience? Bad?

I use Capital one for banking. Actually, I was using Chevy Chase Bank since I was a teenager but they got bought out by Capital One a couple of years ago. Never had any problems. Of course I just use it for my banking and savings account, that's it.

Do you use them online only? It sounds like you might have a branch?
I do all my other banking online, so I don't know why the idea of an online bank is stressing me out.

I use Capital One 360. Used to be ING but was bought out. I haven't had any problems with them.

I started with them when they were Citizen's Bank, then Chevy Chase, then Captial One. I have both banking and cc accts with them. I also have banking accts through what was ING Direct but is now Captial One 360, so I have used them for years. I have had no problems with them. They have phased out tellers in their branches and only have a couple people for more complicated matters. This aspect I do not like. When I have shows and need certain denominations for change, I have to go to two different locations because the ATM's are configured differently. I usually need 1,5, and 10's but one machine gives 1,5,20 and 100's and another machine at a different branch gives 1, 10, 20, 100's. That is a pain in my ass but it rarely happens so I just deal with it.

There are several branches in my area (Northern Virginia) but I hardly ever go to the physical banks anymore. I just do online banking. Their only banking system is very user friendly from my experience.

I use Capital One online only and am very happy with it. I have savings and checking accounts tied to my investment accounts and a couple accounts for a minor. Everything is in one place, easy to transfer funds to any account I want. I pay all my bills online from there.
I use their mobile deposit to deposit checks, which is very convenient. I've never had any issue with them.

We use Capital One for our primary checking and savings account. We also have a cc with them. Have had no problems. We do have several ATMs in our area, which is handy.

Ok, you guys convinced me. I just opened an account online in about 5 minutes. They are offering 1.25% on a 12-month CD as compared to .02% at Chase.
I do all my other banking online, so I don't know why it concerned me. Maybe they have a better rate because they're not paying for the brick and mortar locations.

This is timely. I was just looking at switching my business account to them because they offer totally free business checking and savings and you can have multiple accounts. I keep looking for a catch, but I can't seem to find one.....what's the catch??

In just making my place.
I've also been considering and then freaked out anout not having a physical branch....but when I think about the last time I went to the bank I'm sure it was over a year ago. Long enough I can't remember.
