Where we had my DD 's service. This is the situation. The church where I teach preschool bought the funeral home because they needed to expand and funeral home became available. It is now the youth center. We are having teacher training tomorrow there. AND in the same viewing room where my DD was. It is now a classroom. I dread it. No amount of paint can change the fact it is the funeral home for me. The building is the same. Did I say I dread it ?! Update: I took a deep breath when I pulled into the parking lot, prayed and asked God for strength to get through the morning. And He did and I did ok. Some of the building has been redone. Definitely new paint. The excitement of seeing the teachers after summer break is fun so that helped. I was facing a different direction than where my DD's casket was located that day so that helped too. I made it and I don 't have to go back in that building but if I ever do, I feel like I faced down my fear of bursting into tears at being there. But who knows, next time , if there is one, it may be different. Thank you all for your prayers and support for this fellow pea.  |

Oh my goodness I wouldn't be able to do it either. You're a lot stronger than me for even trying, I would have immediately said no.

I am so sorry! Do your coworkers know about this situation? Maybe they could switch classrooms or something. I am sending you lots of hugs and prayers that you find comfort and peace.
I would also feel similar to how you feel. I haven't even gone back to the same hospital my father died at. The memories are too painful. I know it would be extremely painful if I had to be there every day.
Hang in there. Would you feel more at peace if you donated something for that classroom in memory of your daughter?

 I would see if they can at least move to a different room. I think if you told them why you are so upset about this room, they will move to another room if at all possible. Surely there is another room they can use even if it is in the same building.

Oh Caro, I feel physically sick for you. I have been in a similar situation. It was not a reminder of my precious child, but my BIL. I can't imagine the pain it would bring you. There's no way I could go through with it, especially for work. Please tell someone, and let them help you through this situation. {{HUGS}}

I am so sorry you know the pain of losing a child. I cannot imagine how much anxiety and sadness this is creating for you. Is anyone at work aware of what you have shared here? If not, I would like to encourage you to reach out to coworkers and superiors and let them know what you are dealing with. I hope they show compassion and understanding if you need to take a break or end your day earlier than expected. I am so very sorry for the loss of your daughter. May I ask what her name was?

How hard that must be. Perhaps you can talk to somebody about it. I can't imagine you will be concentrating on what is being said. Maybe they will excuse you and just catch you up.

How horrible! I had to change churches after my DH died because going there made me relive his funeral so I kind of understand your pain. I hope they'll change the location for you. Hugs!

That is one tough situation. I hope you will find some peace in being there to make your day go better. Maybe just take some alone time in that room to remember, and let yourself "feel". (I hope that makes some sense). I can't even imagine what you are feeling. My thoughts to you.
