I've subscribed to so many different kits over the years and barely used any of them.
There is just no way I'll ever take enough photos to scrapbook that'll use up all of my stash. Oh and my stash is pretty much allocated to my 5x5 Expedit and my Raskog cart so nothing super crazy.

Only when I subscribed to Gossamer Blue. When they had the 5 LO a month album challenge I always did it.
I just started to feel like there was a lot of leftover product that I wasn't using. So I stopped subscribing.

In the summer, yes, because I'm a teacher ...or at least I use enough of it that with what I have left, I feel good about taking the rest of the kit apart and putting it in my stash. During the rest of the year, I might do 2-3 LOs a month, so I go in cycles where I subscribe and let them pile up, then bust through a bunch of kits, then resubscribe, etc. I do like how having pre-coordinated supplies helps save me time when I am in the mood to scrap.
I think next time I subscribe to a kit, I'll choose one that a lot of the scrappers on YouTube use so I can just scraplift a lot of their designs. There are days when I'm feeling uber creative and want to come up with my own design, and then there are days when I just have a story I want to tell and the design is more secondary.

I do. I sub to citrus twist kits and I love every months kits so much I usually use them right away. Sometimes I make up stuff to scrapbook but after a few horrible years, it's not hard to find happy moments.

I do Project Life and make cards. I used to get the Freckled Fawn kit from the first one until this fall. I finally had to cancel because i'm drowning in embellishments. I do buy the SSS card kits and KP kits as one offs. I won't subscribe because i don't need that much stuff.

I do if it's one off kits, but due to time limitations, it usually takes me a while to use my monthly kits.
I only get one monthly kit, The Stamps of Life card kit. I really like it, but need to cancel because I'm not using them right now. I have used my MFT snowflake kit a few times already.

I've subbed to scrapbooking kits and project life kits and I've never used up an entire kit. But that doesn't stop me from buying more and more stuff!
I'm actually going to take a break from kits starting in Jan. I have way too much stuff.
I wish there was a kit club that does every other month.

Now that SC kits are so small, killing them should be easier.
I find that Story Kits aren't really designed to be used up in one month. I like the idea of using them to fill in gaps in my regular albums or handbooks. Even the months where I used up all my SC or KP cards, I found I always had embellishments leftover. I tend to be more minimalist (and flat) so the bulkier embellies wind up migrating into my stash.
I've switched to KP's kits which are lighter on the embellishments (which I love) and I'm finding that the full sized stamps are a much better substitute for my scrapping style. I think it's easier to use up a monthly kit if it's just your style. But to be honest, with a stash on hand, I rarely force myself to scrap just what's in my monthly box. Then again, that could be because my monthly box often includes extras.

I use up my AE story kits for the most part. Usually random bits and pieces leftover that I put into my stash to use. I will go between PL pages and 12x12 traditional layouts. I'might pretty good at killing off kits (I've subbed to a variety over the last 5-6 years) but SC ones were the hardest because lots of the kits seemed so random and didn't always work together like a kit should.

That's so true. I remember when I first started subbing and I'd use almost every card (plus some add-on cards) each month. Yes, I was doing 12x12 but the cards worked so well together it was easy to use up 90% before the next month's arrived.

Yes, for the most part. I stopped subbing to reduce my stash and am now getting Hip Kit SB kits shipped bi-monthly. I'm doing quite a bit of scrapping at the moment (going back and doing old vacation photos), and I usually make at least 2-3 layouts a week. If stuff starts building up too much again then I'll stop my sub.

I have received 4 Felicity Jane kits. I used up the first one really fast. Right now, not so much. I am sure in January I'll get back to it.
The kits are not huge, which I like.

I currently sub to AE story kits & SC documenter kit. I tend to use a good portion of the kit each month, I use the SC kit as the base for my project life spreads for the month (I do 12x12 weekly spreads). There are always a few cards that I hate/would never work for my life so I put those in a donate box immediately upon receiving the kit, but I usually use about 3/4 of what is left during the month and the rest goes into my stash. I also will pull cards from the AE kit and other kits to add in when none of the SC kit cards work.
I usually have more embellishments left over lately, mostly because the SC kits have been awful lately. So I'm considering canceling for that reason, but not because I don't use it, I love having the kit each month as the starting spot to work on my pages.
With the AE kits, besides what I pull into project life, I try to do at least one traditional LO per month based on the theme--some months I get 2-3 layout, some I don't get any and have to go back to, but I usually get to them eventually. Some of the items go into my stash each month, but I like them to pull from because the themes might apply at different times.
I just canceled my SC scrapbook kit because I wasn't using them fast enough and because they have been kinda ugly lately/duplicative with the documenter kit. I'm not looking for a replacement though until I use up more of my stash.

I've subscribed to SC's PL kit from the beginning, but haven't used the majority of my kit supplies. Contrary to the basic idea of a "kit" I've always just put the items into my stash and used them with the rest of my supplies. Since my PL spread have lots of photos, I don't need many filler cards. And although I love some of the bulkier embellishments I just find them too hard to use in PL and have switched to using stamps to embellish my spreads. My goal for the new year is to pare down my stash to make creating easier and less time consuming.

I've never subscribed to a monthly kit, only purchased them on deep discount. I would buy the mystery kits at Studio Calico and break them down instead of leaving them together and I always wondered why I felt the need to do that.
Today I received my Clique Kits Black Friday order and I am ready to scrapbook...NOW! I'm going to lay out at least 12 pages for albums I'm making for my sister and her two girls...and I'm going to try and to finish them today. I feel like the kit I picked to start with (Origins) is speaking to me! It has a lot of Simple Stories Life in Color and I hadn't purchased that line. The kit has plenty of embellishments (including the Illustrated Faith yellow enamel hearts...swoon), but I may need to add white cardstock. I'll let you know how it goes!

I laid out another twenty 5.5x8.5 layouts for my nieces albums with this kit and four sheets of added paper. I'm not sure if the embellishments will make it through the 20 small layouts, but I'll certainly give it my best! This kit has been lovely to work with!

Kind of. When I had a SB sub, I made a point to use the kit at least once...but when I got pregnant (no desire to scrap...just thinking about it gave me morning sickness...no joke, although it is kind of amusing to think about, lol) I cancelled...there's only one kit of the 13 that I bought that I'd consider killed and that is the Fall themed one. $40 a month to use something once (minimum) was questionable but to let them pile up was a no go. The only sub I kept was my PL kit and even then, I had about 7 or 8 piled up, unopened, before I went through them and put them all away...when I get to those kits when I'm looking for specific colors, I am still 'ooh, pretty, I don't remember that kit' because I was so zoned out during that time. It wasn't over the top expensive at $25.95 a month. I'm now running out of room because I tend to do one project at a time. Right now, that's my November project, so PL is on the back burner. And I've been so in love with my Elle's studio kits (that I definitely use the most of anything in my stash right now) that I haven't been using my Gossamer Blue PL kits...although they are definitely appealing to me. Whenever I go through them after maxing out on space for them to pull cards I won't use to give away (usually pink ones), I want to use them, it's just that I'm always working on something else at the time. My brain doesn't work with multiple projects going on at once.
I have this idea that one day I'm going to wake up and become this crazy prolific scrapbooker and scrapbook every spare moment, but I get sucked into time wasters like the internet or my phone. I tend to find myself wanting to scrap or do other things when my plate is full (which it rarely is) and I'll sneak away 5 minutes here and there just to have some time to myself, but when I have all the time in the world, I don't feel a sense of urgency to scrapbook. No clue if that makes sense, but that's the sense I make of it.

You guys that don't use them should sell them! I use mine. I sub to citrus twist and often to scrapbook circle though I had to cut back due to financial issues, and I use them.

I do! I get kits from Scrapbook Generation and I use them. my goal is to finish at least one of their kits from start to finish each month. I'm a little behind bc this time of year is so busy, But hoping to pick back up in January. I also did a speed scrap a few months ago and powered through a ton. That was fun!!!

I have used kits but I tend to not use them the month I get them. I tend to keep them in kits and use many of the products and then split the products into my stash. At the moment I am not subscribed to any kits and am just using all of the accumulated supplies that I received over 1.5 years of subbing to 2 different PL and SB kits.

I'll be happy to use them later though, no doubt. Twelve more of the small layouts to go, yet I still am loving this kit!

I do use my Cocoa Daisy kit each month. I've never really fully killed a kit, though I've come close a couple of times.
The kits I haven't really used have been Ali Edwards. Someday I'll do something with them, but have not so far.
I used to sub to Studio Calico and I have to say that I never used them as a kit. I've used individual pieces from the kits, but always incorporated into other products. I never found a rhythm to using those as a stand-alone kit.
I have purchased one-off or short term subs from other places, and it's been hit or miss.

Loved the kits. Loved the layouts. I opened up an extra diecut pack, sticker pack and the hearts from Illustrated Faith, but I made 26 total layouts instead of the 12 I originally planned. I really loved using this beautiful Clique Kit, but I still will never be a monthly kit buyer. I have more time to scrapbook than most, so I think I would kill them every month, but only if I liked them as much as this one. Too much risk involved for the money...for me. I'm usually willing to take the risk for a warehouse box, sight unseen, but I get a lot of bang for my buck. I respect that everyone has different needs and wants and totally understand why there is such a market for kits. I forgot to mention that of the original kit, I have small strips and some cut aparts of paper left, most of the 12x12 alpha, a few frames, diecuts and stickers and anything that was silver foiled.
