Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and also their suffering family members. They have no answers and diminishing hopes. It's a heartbreaking search but we keep going.
We will have a candlelight vigil for Brandon, Becca, Michelle, and Jaracca on the 19th. Light a candle for them? Thank you.

I haven't heard about this. It has to be a nightmare for their family and friends. I don't know the story but I hope that maybe they just went on a trip without telling any one and will show back up soon. Definitely thoughts and prayers are with them.

Was this the family featured in People magazine? How sad. I hope someone can find out something so there can be closure.

I am sorry Geri. What is really sad is that I live here and this is the first I am hearing about it. I was out of country when they went missing. However, you think that they would keep it in the local news. I hope they find them.

Yes, People magazine did two stories about them. It's a complete mystery and DOES remind me of the missing family who was later found dead, all four buried in a desert. Brandon, Becca, and the two little girls all disappeared without a trace and a further mystery is that their dog, Sparks, is gone too. They left behind all of their belongings, keys, wallets, cars, cell phones, even Michele and Jaracca's car seats. No sign of foul play. Neighbors heard nothing.
Their family was here searching daily for over a month but had to finally go home to their own children. Very kind people, heart broken and dazed. So many questions.
We are a very small town, this is a puzzle we can't make sense of.
I'm picking up more BOLO posters today from our police station. We must keep people aware so everyone stays alert and might notice something that leads to closure.

On July 4,2000, my dad wandered away from the Alzheimer's home he was living in. For the next 10 days thousands of people in Southern Utah helped search for my dad. I will never forget driving from CA to St George and seeing all the people at the "comand post" ready for the days search. It warmed my heart seeing so many people who didn't even know my dad want to help us. I will never forget how it felt to have so many praying and helping our family. My dad's body was found on July 14th by one of those special volunteers. Thank you putabuttononit for helping this family.

I haven't heard the story which actually pisses me off because news organizations are not actually doing news, but focusing on Robin Williams death. I believe an icon died, I'm so sorry about the circumstances. But Damon it there are other people in danger that we as a society need to be concerned about. Let us focus on those.

Have they determined whether or not the girlfriend's ex-mother-in-law had something to do with the family's disappearance? I followed this family's story for several weeks and last I heard it had been discovered that the ex-mil had some pretty major skeletons in her closet involving drugs and child abuse of a sexual nature. If I'm remembering correctly, the authorities were still trying to figure out if the family's disappearance was somehow connected to the ex-mil's illegal activities.
Of course, I read all of this information online, so who knows how accurate it is. It's such a sad and puzzling story. I admire all that your town has done in an attempt to get this family's story out, and I sincerely hope resolution comes sooner rather than later.

My mom has dementia, is now in full-time care and our biggest fear is still her wandering off. I'm so sorry that you went through this.

There were a few gossip mags and blogs that tried to link it, but no there is no connection between that woman and their disappearance. I'm glad you asked though, because it was a rumor.

That's good to know. When I first read about the ex-mil my heart just sank. They seemed like such a nice little family, and the thought of them being victimized by someone as troubled and dangerous as the ex-mil appears to be was heartbreaking.
