I know we are not suppose to "covet", but I am having a terrible time lately with everyone taking trips...long trips, short trips, doesn't matter. I am jealous. I want a VACATION! I want to go somewhere, see something, stick my toes in a huge body of water! I want to stay in a hotel, where someone else makes the beds, brings clean towels. Somewhere where I can sleep late, stay up late and eat foods I don't normally eat and not worry about how much it costs! I want the time and opportunity to stop into a shop, just because something in the window caught my eye, and spend an hour just "browsing". Maybe even buy something...just because I want it! Ok, much better now!  |

I know what you mean. Things have been tight for us this year and we won't really get to vacation at all. I'm ok with it, because things got tight because my DH did a mission trip to Latvia last year...so the cause is good. But it would be nice to get away from it all. I just try to remain positive, there's always next year, right?  |

I have no problem with coveting unless it is obsessive or taking away from the quality of your life.
If I didn't covet I wouldn't know what I want to buy.

I'm there myself. We won't get a vacation this year at all. We don't have the money or the time. It makes me very sad though because we were supposed to get a 20th anniversary trip this year.  |

I'm the same way. We haven't ever been on a vacation since being married. Kinda sucks.
