We always have the same: quiche, breakfast potatoes, monkey bread, fruit, OJ/mimosas. Normally we go to MIL's for a big dinner so that's all we eat until dinner. although this year dinner is the night before.

Probably quiche, brie in puff pastry with fig jam and pine nuts, fruit, and I'm not sure what the sweet item will be yet. Im hoping it's cold so I can make some wassail too.

It's just me in the morning. I will be making my traditional cinnamon rolls. You know, pop open the can of dough, put them on a pan and into the toaster oven.
Hot tea, cinnamon rolls, and a quiet morning, before I'm off for an afternoon of festivities and family dysfunction<<oops, did I say that out loud. LOL!.

As little as possible because MIL will be cooking up a huge seafood and roast meat & vegie feast for lunch. Hopefully Santa brings me some chocolate in my stocking and I will eat that for breakfast.
Unless I pop in to my dad and stepmum's house in the morning. Then we'll probably have ham and cheese croissants.

Chocolate, followed by fudge and a cup of tea.
Always has been my breakfast for Christmas - ever since I was a tot. And it's the one day, I never pushed the kids into eating a 'proper breakfast'

I make homemade cinnamon rolls and we have coffee and hot cocoa with them. We usually eat Christmas "dinner" rather early so a big cinnamon roll and a giant latte is enough to count for breakfast and lunch.

It's just DH and I and we are like kids because we have the orange cinnamon rolls from Pillsbury with our coffee. They're a big treat for us and we only get them twice a year so we really look forward to it LOL! I do love some of the other ideas here too! We might have to expand our selection next year... I always have something super light like a smoothie because I know there is plenty of eating on the day.

I made Pioneer woman's baked French toast last year, and it was delicious! Super sweet, though. I'm going to do cinnamon rolls this year, bacon, frittata (baked omelet, basically) and fruit salad.

We usually do smoked salmon on croissant and champagne. ( I prefer my mimosa's without the OJ) We will be at my sisters in NYC, she will be away. So I don't know... we'll see.

It depends. My mom is always experimenting with some kind of breakfast casserole, so that one is kind of up in the air. We always have sliced oranges and my aunt brings over cinnamon rolls. Lots of coffee. But when I am old and grey and all my little grands gather at my withered knee, I will tell them that Christmas morning was always oranges and cinnamon rolls and watching my mom peel oranges and then quartering them...and always saying 'gosh, I had no idea that I cut on my finger there' because there was always a spot that the acid in the oranges that stung.

www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/swedish-tea-ringSometimes I form the ring, other times just make them into rolls. In a pinch I'll use the pillsbury hot roll mix, follow the cinnamon roll directions, adding the chopped walnuts/cherries/cinnamon/sugar as filling. And if you really want cherry flavor, reserve some of the cherry juice in place of the milk to make the icing.

last year I found in the bakery section Belgium waffles. So last year I made a simple syrup with frozen mixed berries and whipped cream with the Belgium waffles. It went over well. So this year I will be making the same. Its only the two of us for breakfast, It was quick too as I made the syrup the night before so as the waffles were heating I just reheated the syrup.

It's our tradition that the family with the youngest kids serves breakfast. That way, we can all see what Santa brought and the children don't have to be separated from their toys. My aunt has been hosting for almost 20 years now, and puts out a huge spread:
breakfast casserole (the one with bread/sausage/eggs that soaks overnight) grits casseroles (usually at least 2, because this goes fast) monkey bread sliced oranges sausage/cheese/Bisquick balls cheese straws biscuits with jam on the side
I'm sure there is more, but she always serves such a good breakfast that we want to skip lunch!
