I'm moving to Philly next week and am wondering if anyone can recommend some nice LSS in the area, within an hour or two driving distance. The first thing I did when I found out I was moving was scout out the Blicks and Michaels and Joanns and Hobby Lobbies, and woot I'll even have some AC Moores, which are new to me. But what about the more boutique stores in the area? Thanks in advance!

Escape Scrapbooking is based in Philly but they do conventions and such. www.facebook.com/escapescrapbookingPhilly has never had scrapbook stores - back about 10 or more years ago there was a really small one out near King of Prussia now long gone. For scrapbook stores you're going to have to head up toward Lancaster County (about an hour and a half or so) where there are still more than a few. I'm not sure about Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland anymore. I know they still have some expos. Escape Scrapbooking will know.

I live in Delaware and to the best of my knowledge, all of the Delaware LSS's are closed (we only had three in the entire state). As the above poster stated, there is Escape Scrapbooking based out of Philly who does crops in the Cheltenham area and in Wilmington, DE. I believe she is either going to start or already has online shopping. Also, if you send her an email telling her what you're looking for, she'll try to get it. There are several stores in the Lancaster and Hershey area of PA...Kings Homestead (Ronks, PA) has a small selection, Times to Remember (Hershey, PA), The Paper Place (Mt. Joy, PA), and Pages in Time (Lititz, Pa) are a few that I've been to. Here is a list that I found of others in Pennsylvania.

There used to be at least half a dozen LSS stores in Bucks County, some of them really great, but they could not compete with the ACM, Michaels, JoAnns, Hobby Lobby and other big stores selling SB supplies just a few miles away, and to my knowledge, they've all closed.

I used to live right across the Walt Whitman in NJ, and I know at one point there used to be a scrapbooking store in Voorhees. However, I can't remember the name of it. I know this doesn't really help, sorry.

Yes, that was it! It was by the Voorhees Town Center I think. Much like all the others, it's provably closed, though.

I know that there was a change of management at one point, but I think that I remember them closing too. Have you ever been to the one at the Burlington Mall......Scrap That? That one changed hands, as well. I believe it's still open, but struggling.... The previous owners are awesome and still do booths at the trade shows and conventions. He was at the Lancaster CK Convention and said that they're going strictly with MME products. I'm interested to see how that goes, though they were already selling a lot of MME products....

Times to remember is not Times to Remember anymore. They just changed hands two months ago and are now called Enchanted Memories. I haven't been out there since they changed over but they had moved to Briarcrest Square, which is across the street from Hershey Medical Center. There are two scrapbook stores here in Lititz, Pages In Time and Cozy Crop House. Since CCH hosts weekend crops, their store is usually only open to public during the week. Odd hours, you'd have to check the website. The store in Mount Joy is nice too but smaller than the others. There are a couple scrapbook stores in Southern/east end of Lancaster county but I've never been to them.
