I was just coming to share this. I just feel like a broken record...PINK, PINK, PINK = SO SICK OF IT. Sorry to be a buzzkill but geez. Just a glance is all it takes and I'm turned off. It seriously makes me want to go and design SOMETHING OTHER THAN PINK collections!!!

Do not like the Amy line. Meh on Lizzy. Slightly more positive on Shimelle's - at least she has icons that look new.
Amy's Retreads: Pineapples, glasses, pink, pink, pink, brush lettering.
(ETA: I give all collections a pass on certain retreads like cameras, that are always appropriate for a new/beginning scrapper)

Oh, it is rather PINK. The only piece I'd like out of what you've shown is the pale pink camera - I've got a pink camera and I love it.. and a pink clock on my craft desk... and a pink Big Bite... and a pink Herma dispenser that doesn't work too well but I can't part with it.. Not that I'm into pink, but even my desk cactus has got pink fluffy balls as flowers...

I don't mind pink when it is part of a whole colour spectrum, and to each his/her own, but pink never was my colour, my dgd's are growing up, and I have a lot of little BOYS to scrap adventures for, so lines that are predominantly pink (and there have been a lot of them lately) are not really what I need right now.

I definitely thought Shimelle's was the best of the three, not that the other two are wowing me right now. Shimelle's seems much different from her other lines, in a good way. I love a good camera image, whether it's a stamp or embellishment. I know pink is in everything, but I like the color so it doesn't bother me.

I'm not into any of the new lines - the ones shown here or in the other threads. I liked the Carta Bella baby lines, but I don't need baby collections.

Will not be purchasing any. All rehashes. Boooorrrriiiinnnggg. I feel like every time new collections come out, people complain they are 'the same'. (Not particularly picking on you, ScrappyGlue, just yours was the post I noticed right now.) But then when designers come out with something way out of left field, (like when Amy Tan said she just picked random icons and got the designers to include them...donuts, zebras, giraffes, bicycles) nobody is happy with that either. What do people want?! it's hard to tell from the sneaks, but I like cute animals and Shimelle always has good words on her products. So hopefully there will be something in there that I like. I am usually less of a Dear Lizzy fan, but sometimes she has good patterns in her papers. I don't see so much pink that I can't pair it with other colours to tone it down. So,I am cautiously optimistic that these lines will be good. And I haven't bought anything ALL YEAR so I really want to shop!

Not really thrilled by any of them - Shimelle's is probably the best IMO. Too similar to everything else that AC has already produced!

Donuts are very specific embellishment and I can only find so many ways to use them. I like Dear Lizzys collection, it's brighter than last few release. I love the fuschia pop.

Normally I would gobble up these lines and use them right away! However, it simply looks like everything else in my stash from these designers. It comes to a point in almost every industry, that maybe these designers have seen their day? Maybe this industry is in need of some new designers or FRESH ideas? And, again, I normally love these designers and their lines. I would hate for them to leave, but....we need some fresh stuff!

Shimelle's line looks cute...I like the new critters and the different color palette.
Dear Lizzy's line reminds me of Shimelle's first 2 collections.
Amy Tan - I want to love it but I just don't know yet. I expect some of the papers will be fabulous but I would have a hard time using those die cuts.

Lovely Day looks cute, Im really into floral embellishments right now and I see a few I would use. I don't think Ive ever purchased an Amy Tan line. Now that I have a daughter I can see purchasing it for some bright summer layouts but I wouldnt get it for right now

Thanks for sharing these nicolep I'm not seeing anything that excites me much with these either and also reminds me of the tons of cute similar stuff I have at home. I'm sure I'll grab some items from them as AC is the majority of what my LSS gets in new so at least I can see them in person.

It's hard to say from such a small preview but I bet I will like the Dear Lizzy line. The Amy Tan and Shimelle lines look like something I could live without.

I like the Shimelle line just for being somewhat different. As much as I love AT's style, it never changes and i have more than enough from her to last a lifetime.

I must also agree .....PLEASE stop with the pink!!! Also...while the designers are listening....[ Ha!]...... please can we also stop with the woodland creatures.!? Enough already. I am Aussie and the only place I ever see a deer or a bear or a raccoon or a squirrel is in a zoo or online in stamp sets or scrapbook ephemera! And as for foxes and rabbits....in my rural location they are considered vermin and feral pests....NOT cute in any way.

However.....I do approve of a few of the more recent lines including navy blue..( think pink paislee "moonshine"...despite the pink) And kelly green ( like echo park "just for you".....also despite the pink) And the purple ( carta Bella " flora number 1" ......also except for the pink although since this line is floral I forgive the pink!)

I agree with you all about the pink. I used to scrap just me and my husband and life events. I never really incorporated pink into my albums and some of my kits from 2015 haven't been touched b/c of the overwhelming pink product. Now that I have a daughter, GIVE ME ALL THE PINK! I know pink isn't just for girls but I was not creative enough to use it much before my dd was born
If you have boys, do you incorporate pink into their albums? do the floral embellies go to waste?

I've thought for several years that most AC lines look a lot alike. The colors are similar and even some of the designs are identical. Several years ago I bought paper pads from different 'companies' and all 3 had a page with large polka dots, one with blueprints, and a few others that were the same designs. In looking at some of the other sneaks threads it looks like the AC lines have a lot of pink, florals, and pretty images almost across the board. I do like this look but I really wish they'd change it up a little.

I think it's difficult to tell from the previews. I am liking the look of the Dear Lizzy line, and I almost always buy Shimelle's lines; however, I don't have much need for a child themed line, if that's what it turns out to be. My LSS carries a lot of American Crafts paper, getting in almost everything. What I will say is that while I might rarely by an entire AC collection from these designers (with the exception of Shimelle) I often find myself buying multiples of some of the papers for their B sides and more generic patterns. When I am cropping at my LSS I find that I go to the AC section frequently for a little something. Some of the recent collections have had great stripes, dots and tone on tones. And I am a sucker for a good camera print!
