Watched Jen McGuire's craft room tour and loved the little container she keeps her shammy in. Do you use something similar? I'd love to find something like this. Mine dries out very quickly when I just leave it on my desk.

My Absorber stays in a little plastic bin while I'm stamping. It dries out overnight but I'm ok with that. Keeps it from getting stinky.

I put it in a cute bowl that I bought at Target. I don't care that it dries out because there's a bathroom right next to my craft room. Attachments:

I keep my shammy in a little plastic container on my desk. Nothing fancy.

I keep mine in a Le Creuset salt crock. I let it dry out between use so it doesn't stink.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Didn't realize it stunk if it stays moist. That may sway me to not do anything different.

I use a piece of Absorber and kept mine in a baggie to keep it moist (sorry to those of you who have the creepy word disease 😂). The say it stunk is an understatement. It was vile. However it cleans up well with just a little soap and water.

I use a piece of an absorber and keep in a little plastic baggie so it doesn't dry out.

I have a piece of Absorber that I use and keep it in a plastic disposable baby wipe container. I can keep the lid closed while Im working on projects or leave it open so it dries and doesn't get smelly.

Mine hangs on a hanger to dry between uses, I just moisten it each use and put it on a craft mat or saucer then rinse out after use.

What is better? The shammy or the absorber? I don't have either but have considered the absorber.

I saw a demo, it cleans your stamps, right? With just water? It looks like it gets really dirty, is that annoying? Will it clean staz on?

I don't use mine for staz on. I hate the smell of that stuff and I don't want it on my shammy (chamois). I actually have the Absorber from walmart which is huge. I cut a piece out of it and am still on my first one. I think if I wanted to use it for staz-on I would have a dedicated piece just for that.

I wipe off the staz on cleaner with a baby wipe, then finish up with the absorber.

Has anyone noticed a difference in the shammy or absorber?

I have a binder clip on my downsized car chamois so I can hang it on the side of my trolley. Now I also keep a small water mister/spray with my crafty stuff and just give the chamois a few sprays before I start. If it's been a particularly stampy session I'll rinse it in the kitchen but otherwise it just dries out between uses.

Yes, it does get dirty from the ink being wiped off but it doesn't bother me because of how well it works. You may be able to wash it but I haven't tried. I haven't used it with StazOn inks.
