Congrats! The best thing you can do is sit and read the manual. A bit dry I'll admit, but you really will learn a lot.

I have a Canon Rebel xs, but have had it for several years.
I have read the manual and often refer back to it.
You might see is the camera shop where it was purchased offers lessons.
