Yep, as of 8:15PM December 26, the decorations are all put away!
Who else packed it in already?

Hahaha, no. Ours will stay up through New Years, but they didn't go up until mid-December so I'm not tired of them yet.

I may have the grandchildren help me take down the tree later in the week. Then DS can carry the bag down to the basement for. That thing is heavy!

We did half of them today. Should finish the remaining indoor decor tomorrow and the outside on Wednesday.

I'm jealous! It will take me awhile to get mine down ...the villages slow me down. Plus I need to help my mom with hers...but I do love how clean everything is when you get done. Hoping to start this coming weekend

Started today and got the villages done and almost all of the other decorations down. Problem is I will have to get my son over here to put it all away. I haven't put back my previous home decor yet. I have friends coming over on New Years so that is my motivation to get things cleaned up.

Took down a few outside so the wind doesn't ruin them as well as the rain. Will take the rest down after the New Year.

The inside decorations will come down this weekend. We are debating when to take the outside lights down since they are forecasting rain from Friday-Monday. We may have to take those down in the next day or two. I really like leaving the lights out. I love seeing lights on houses.

Heck I haven't even gotten rid of my holiday company yet. I typically leave the tree up until New Years.

I spent several hours today taking everything down, boxing it up & putting it in the attic.
I love Christmas but am happy on the 26th when we get back to normal.

Absolutely not. Ours stay up till the evening of 5th. The tree is collected by a charity, which benefit's Sheffield Children's Hospital on or during the week following 7th Jan.

Goodness no - the tree stays until my birthday at the very least. This year we'll pack away on Monday 2 January.

But what about 12th night??!!! I know your decorations go up so much earlier than ours but do they always come down so early too??
Ours will come down by 6th January but we still have house guests so even if I wanted them down it wouldn't be happening.

Mine are going away New Year's Day. The only reason they didn't come down yesterday is because I have a cold and am not feeling good.

Mine probably won't come down until mid January. I usually take them down on or around Jan. 7th (after epiphany), but this year I'm having a friend in from out of town that weekend, so I doubt I'll get around to it until the following weekend.

My outside lights are down but I may keep the wreaths up for a couple more days. The foyer has been packed up and put away. Next is the tree and mantle but I'm cleaning out my closet today. Those final decorations may have to wait until tomorrow.

Those final decorations may have to wait until tomorrow. We usually do outside lights, and those would stay up (and lit) until after New Year's. We left the wreath on the door, too.

I've read about celebrating it in historical books, but did not know people still did it. It's not really a thing here. Is there an actual celebration in 12th night? What do you do?
