All down and packed up by 10pm last night. Still have to vacuum before moving the furniture back in place. Today is cleaning day. Same here. Vacuumed the tree needles but need to do the rest of the house. I've had decorations up since the end of September (Halloween, Thanksgiving) so I am DONE!

Wow, you all are so efficient!
I don't take my decorations down until January and in some cases, February, lol. I like looking at my Christmas decorations for as long as possible.

Also wanted to say I never heard of leaving the tree up until the 12th day until I read it here. No one I know leaves theirs up either. Well unless they just can't get to it.
Colorado does have a tradition to keep outside lights up until after the big Stock Show... which is in a couple of weeks. But I don't really follow that either. lol

Hopefully today or tomorrow the tree comes down. I only have that (with no ornaments) and some decorations on my entertainment center. The real deep cleaning happens after the kids are back in school.

I don't think I've ever taken them down before New Year's.

Same here. Everything dusted, vacuumed and back in order.
I love the holidays but I'm always happy to get everything back to normal.

Done this morning. Always done by January 2nd at the very latest. I put my stuff up by the 2 week in November so I'm ready for it to be gone. I'll turn the outside lights on for New Years Eve and Day. Then Ukrainian Christmas Eve and Day. But this year we are leaving for a tropical vacation in a couple days so it needed to go early and I need to pack!

But what about 12th night??!!! I know your decorations go up so much earlier than ours but do they always come down so early too?? Ours will come down by 6th January but we still have house guests so even if I wanted them down it wouldn't be happening. Tell us about 12th night. Where are you located? I've read about celebrating it in historical books, but did not know people still did it. It's not really a thing here. Is there an actual celebration in 12th night? What do you do? I'm in the UK. My mother was superstitious and thought we would bring bad luck into the house if we took our tree down any time than Twelfth Night. For us it was 6th January but others say it's the 5th depending on if you count Christmas Day as the first day or Boxing Day as the first. I don't think it has much significance these days but it was quite a festival in olden times. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelfth_Night_(holiday)#Traditions I'm on my phone and am not sure if the link will work. It's just to Wikipedia but if you google Twelfth Night Traditions there are loads of hits. I know Mummers Plays are held in some areas. Sorry, I'm struggling to reply properly on my phone.
