Sorry ladies, yes, here's the backstory. We love, love, love the RFP holiday card swap at our house. It's one of my boys' favorite part of Christmas, because well, happy mail! This year they each picked their favorite outgoing address, and I wrote in the card- hey, my son is most excited to send this to you, Happy Christmas! My DS2 is fascinated with tiny things. Last year we learned that RI is the smallest state- close in size to DFW, where we live. Just blew his mind that a state would be so small- he talks about it all the time. He wants to travel there, looks for RI license plates, etc. Almost like his own personal scavenger hunt. He was so excited to **actually send mail to RI**!
Debby was kind enough to send him his very own postcard from RI, with HIS name on it. You know, small things to us are a huge deal to kids. It made his day, was big enough to him that he immediately said he needed to write a thank you note. So, this was his thank you note. And it's one of the reasons I love this place. We teach our kids that small acts of kindness matter. And while we fuss and disagree at times, the Peas are full of kindness!
(And yes, in hindsight, I should have PM'd her, but my mind was elsewhere and he caught me off guard wanting to send her something right away. Sorry!)
