Our Harley girl turns 1 today. I can't believe we've had her for 9 months already. She's a fun mixture of crazy and cuddly. She loves her people. She's still learning, but will sit, off and stay, drop and leave it. Her no jumping is still a work in progress. She's figured out how to open the front screen door and has scared the living crap out the Baptist ladies. They've not returned  she has a funny quirky personality. She drives me bat shit crazy with her sock eating, but I love her to pieces and her giant ears still make me laugh.  |

DH said "well that takes care of the church groups from knocking on our door every week" Its true, they walked right past the house last month. I believe we've been black balled and I'm totally OK with that.  |

She will be years of entertainment and, to be honest, some frustration. Ask me how I know... but all good memories now.
We had German Shep. brothers from the same litter many years ago. They were good boys.
ETA LOVE her ears. It took for.ever. for the smaller of the above mentioned brothers to grow into his dumbo ears.

Retired now. The other 2 were fully trained when we got them, so a malinois puppy was a new thing to us and holy crap. I knew puppies were a lot of work, and I know mals are a high energy breed. But I don't think you're ever really prepared for them as puppies. I wasn't anyway. Lord is she crazy. When people tell me they want a mal puppy I tell them it's like have quintuplet 2 year olds and to think long and hard about it because they aren't just lazy dogs. |
