Okay, since clothes were brought up, can I say that I hate the diaper looking shorts/underwear things performers are wearing regardless of size.
Hate them with a passion

Mariah is a has-been trainwreck. She never sings live, hasn't in many years. She dresses like she's way younger than she is and/or looks like a madam. She is incapable of speaking in a way that makes sense, let alone singing or moving onstage. I think the idea that she has always been surrounded by yes-men, and still is, is correct. No one calls her on her abysmal "performances." And I do think she has a drug or alcohol problem. I'd be very surprised if that isn't the case. All this sounds very harsh, but I feel that when you are paid to perform you should be professional and earn your money. She doesn't. And there are so many people who ARE talented, and ARE professional, but because she used to be great, she gets opportunities that, frankly, she doesn't deserve anymore.
It's a shame because she was a beautiful girl with an amazing voice. She thinks that's still the case, and it's not. It's very similar to Whitney Houston. I hope Mariah doesn't also end up dead due to drugs/alcohol.

Say what you will about the performance, but she has a BEAUTIFUL body. I do not understand the "cover up" shit. This is a gorg body.

I would like to add, though, that MC still falls foul of that rule "forget about trying to look young. Focus on looking good".

I haven't watched the performance, but now that I've seen a picture of what she was wearing, I don't think it's that bad. I do think the hose would look less weird if the hey were solid and not fishnet. I will say that in the past, I've seen too many pictures of MC looking like she's about to have a wardrobe malfunction with her cleavage. I don't care how amazing your boobs are, you shouldn't be falling out of your outfit unless that is part of your job description (ie you're a stripper).

I also think it is ridiculous to wear heels so high that you can't walk properly and without assistance. flats might be a good idea - especially if sauced when doing a "live" performance. she is a bit of a hot mess - not sure how she gets any gigs like this anymore. what has she done lately??? she was the guest judge on canadian idol years ago - my friend worked on set. she is quite a piece of work.

A friend of mine has a photographer friend who was at the show as well, on the stage - here's her observations:
"Because many of you know where I was/who I was with last night, and because the headlines and comments can be so vicious, I want to tell you what I saw. Because of sound, mixing, and logistical constraints, a performance like this needs a pre-recorded background track; the talent typically "sings along" with this background track, which they hear through their in-ear monitor(s). When the live performance started last night, it was clear she didn't have audio in her ear monitors. Not being able to sing along to an accompaniment she couldn't hear, she pulled the ear monitors out, but there was still nothing in real-time that allowed her to hear the track in sync. Thus the "lip sync flub" and the talking instead of singing...it was, at that point an unwinable situation. ABC continued to play the backing track live, so going rogue/singing a Capella was not a workable option. It was bad, yes. But this was not some unprepared diva moment (and I assure you we were all fully sober, having been holed up in the hotel all day without bubbles to drink). Despite what you may have heard, she DID come to rehearsal, on time and attentively. Her monitor didn't work then, and she told them. When she came to the live interview with Seacrest, she again said there was no audible sound in her monitor, and said afterward that she couldn't even clearly hear his questions. Despite this, she was again sent onstage without fully working sound, and an avoidable technical glitch is now a headline out of context. I'm personally disappointed that the network/show didn't release a statement, but I have to say that I appreciate MC's social media comment; that's her, in spirit and attitude. It was a heartbreaking event, even if it was a fitting end to 2016. Onward."

She does have amazing body, and an amazing voice. No matter what truly happened, and I believe she couldn't hear in the headset, it certainly gave people a lot to talk about and many talked crap on her, at least on our local Facebook page. I remember years, and years ago when she had a breakdown. I always felt she was a bit delicate, unstable, and maybe drinks a bit too much. Her babies are sooo cute, I'd love to see her a bit more even keeled for the kids. I should watch her show, haven't seen it but I imagine it's a bit over the top.

Are you referring to this face to face interview? linkMariah is now accusing them of doing this on purpose for ratings. Thoughts? This is the same network that released her vocal track to a Rockfeller Christmas concert last year. I ran across these comments which I believe to be true:

I will say in defense of Mariah - it's a pretty apples to oranges comparison. Apples to Oranges for sure. Adele is a humble, down to earth person. Mariah is a shallow, narcissistic diva. I always tell my kids, your reaction to a situation defines your character and shows people who you really are. Mariah's reaction by throwing other people under the bus is so low class and unprofessional. It's a shame it happened to her but she's the one who is making it a bigger issue than it ought to be. Having a public tantrum in addition to her crappy performance just puts the nail in the coffin. I would gain some respect for her if she learned a lesson from this and changed her ways but I highly doubt that will ever happen.

Sounds like Don Lemon and Brooke were hammered... on CNN they had cut off by the time we got to it.. but I'm reading it on twitter.. yikes! cindyupnorth I think their married? or were? I think they still are.. I watched part of CNN's NYE countdown and it was painful. I like CNN but it seemed that the news anchors were the entertainment. I thought it was very unprofessional. We've watched CNN NYE for the past 12 years. The news anchors ARE the entertainment- that is the whole point of their coverage and why it is the only NYE show we watch in our house. They are hysterical and it is great to see other sides of them. It isn't NYE in our house without watching Anderson and Kathy Griffin.
