Here is our thread for sharing our scrappy goals and progress. Do you have monthly scrap goals and yearly scrap goals? Is there anything new you'd like to try? Anything you'd like to do differently?
For those that want to track how many layouts you've done, an easy way to do it is in your siggy. I haven't done that since two peas but I will get back to it when I finish my Disney album. And my goal for the month is to finish that album.

I hesitate to make any goals, but I definitely want to spend more time crafting. I don't even think I'm allowed to call myself a scrapbooker anymore. It's been months and months since I've made ANYTHING. In order to accomplish this, I'm going to have to be more vigilant about taking photos every day (this is always the reason I lose momentum in my crafting!) and getting them printed. I also need to invest some $$ in my printer ink and paper since the poor thing is collecting dust. My budget has been zero dollars for anything over the past what seems like forever, but I think if I make this investment, I can revive my mojo and get back in the game, which will reinvigorate my soul and sense of self, which will trickle down into other areas of my life, and maybe I can get myself out of this horrible funk I've been in over the last year.

I scrapped yesterday (1st Jan) and did 2 full layouts and completed one, and started another.
I don't usually set scrapping goals as I go to a monthly crop and attend 2 scrap camps over the course of a year, however, I thought I would use more of my stuff.....use up the pretty paper, utilize my stamps a bit more in layouts, make embellishments and try new techniques. I have had embossing paste for a while, but not used it.

I just need to get back into playing with paper... And inks... And all things scrappy.
Don't want to set specific goals, but I may make up some page kits for my unprinted december photos first. On the other hand, I do have a stack of photos from November printed and ready to go, so I may start there. Tuesday dh is gone all day, so that will give me some uninterrupted time to see what I can do.
Not expecting a lot this month. Mobility is coming back but not pain free mobility, so I tire pretty easily. Think I will check out a way to keep track of what I have done in my profile.

My goal for January is to finish both my 2015 December album (about 70% done) and my 2016 December album (not started!).
If I also get started on a PL album for the year it will be a happy accomplishment!

This is me!!!! I've had a hard time creating for a lot of different reasons - too much work and a lifestyle change. Both mean less photos. And I need to spend some time with my photo printer. I have the Picturemate Charm. I'm not loving it and it is not loving me but I think it is user error...All of this adds up to a creative funk and that is what brought happiness and peace in the past. I'm off to give some TLC to this little printer...Thank you for the inspiration!!! Happy New Year!!

Hello everyone...good to see everyone's plans!
I'm going to continue working on my December Documented. I'm still waiting for a large photo order, but I've picked the paper for each of the pages I do have pictures for. I've also completed the first four pages except for sewing.
When my Amazon prime pictures arrive, there are more December Documented pictures to load. Also pictures for an entire year in review project life project to load. It's a single 6x8 album with all the cards I loaded in the album last December and haven't worked on much.
Also DD19 and I haven't loaded her college albums with pictures yet. She goes back on the 16th...need to get that accomplished! That is what I have planned so far. Still need to make my list of projects in progress or planned. I'm sure you all will give me plenty of ideas for more projects!

I've been working on my family albums, 2013-2016, and if I keep at it I think I might actually finish by the end of February. There are so many holes, but DH just gave me a flash drive with 2016 photos from his phone that I've been waiting for. I just need to edit and print one more photo order, and then I should be all set to start.
And when I finally get all 4 years completely done I can look at 2012 and keep working back in time. Can hardly wait! I've been scrapping since my oldest kids were little, maybe 16 years? and I don't have one complete album!

I want to catch up on my small daily/weekly album. It's pictures I take on my daily dog walks. I have to get some pictures printed (that's not included in my no spend January!)
Other than that I don't have any real goals. My Disney album is done and I don't have any particular project in mind at the moment.
I'm not a speedy scrapper so I think I'll be happy if at the end of each month I can at least say I had time to play and create "something".

It will be so exciting for you to "live" through those early years again!

Do you have monthly scrap goals and yearly scrap goals? I definitely have a monthly scrap goal. I want to put together my DD. I ordered photos today, and they're expected to arrive the 11th. I have all the papers, embellies, etc together in a gallon zippy bag. My yearly scrapbook goal is to use what I already have, so that in 2018, I can feel free to buy new supplies. I want to use my paper flowers. I like them, but don't want to buy more. I want to use my sequins. I love them, but have so many and am not buying more. Same goes for confetti. I want to use up my letter stickers, so that I can buy chipboard alphas & Thickers. Later in the year, I want to buy new cutting mats for my ZipeMate. I've had it since 2004/2005 and have yet to replace the mats. They are warped and cut into so much that they are not working like they used to.

My first crop in January I will finish that California project. I am really down to the bitter end. I simply must be done with it - I am over it.
My next Jan crop I will be working on current photos. I have let 6 months of photos build up with wonderful subjects to scrap so I will strive to finish those by the first crop in Feb. I generally go to 2 crops a month.
I have a retreat in February and I believe I will begin on a multi volume project of living history photos of my husband and I and some with our boys. They will be so fun to work on I think. The other thread asking about projects made me think of making this the next big project. It will take months I'm sure.

Tomorrow I'd like to finish my 2016 (non-weekly) PL- half of November and all of December including 2 traditional layouts. Then I'd like to finally make my 2017 start PL page using the FYC New Beginnings kit. I've had something in mind and I just want to see it come together! That's a tall order for me but accomplishable if my friend's husband is still sick and we end up not going to see Star Wars. I'll be home all day!

Today has been another scrap day for me. I've gotten all my titles done and I've been working on embellishing. I'm surprised by how quickly it's all coming together. Batch scrapping definitely works. I've embellished more than half of the layouts. When I'm done with that I'll move on to journaling and then...I'll be done!

I have two goals for this month: I want to finish my Dec daily (done through to the 17th) and my 2016 PL (done through to the start of Nov I think). I really need to get the DD done in the next week or so or it just won't happen. I struggle scrapping Christmas outside Dec and know I won't come back to this project and finish it in 12 months. I'm not a speedy scrapper so I think I'll be happy if at the end of each month I can at least say I had time to play and create "something". This is definitely me!

Another one adding "finish December Daily" to the January goals list. I'm only through Day 7 so there's lots left to do. I set up one Raskog cart with all my supplies and will keep it that way until I finish. Maybe the fact that I'd really like that cart for something else will keep me moving forward.
I have a lot of cards to make this month - Valentine cards for the Caring Hearts card drive and kids birthday and thank you cards for Ronald McDonald House.

I need to finish up the last couple of weeks of PL for December 2016 and start on PL for 2017. I also like to complete at least 2 layouts per week. I started a subscription to CocoaDaisy scrapbook kit (3 month trial) that begins in January. I hope that the kit will arrive by the first of February and I can use some new supplies.

I'm getting a new computer and new software this month, so my goals are almost all about learning my new software.
I mentioned in another thread that I'm also hoping to complete my 2014 WITL. I'm thisclose to finishing and would really love to wrap that up, since I've already finished my 2015 and 2016 WITL!

Do you rotate from home to home? Or have a location you gather at? I notice that you also mention a retreat. Is that a whole weekend?

I caught up my 2016 PL album for October and November and the first half of December. Now I need to print the rest of December and then PL 2016 will be finished! I also need to decided what I want to do for PL 2017...do I want to use a core kit or use some stash? I have a bunch of Citrus Twist kits that piled up in 2016 while we moved, so I should probably use those. I also need to catch up on my kids' albums, but being realistic, that will probably be over MLK weekend. If not then, it will be Presidents' Day weekend before I get to it.
I don't have a set number of LOs I want to do, or anything, just specific projects I want to get done or keep current with.

Sometimes they have to cancel for church conflicts but generally I can count on them. I also recently learned of another one that costs $10 but I haven't gone yet. It is also a church run crop. If I went to all 3 I would have a crop the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Saturdays each month. Heaven! The retreats are held at the beach about an hour away. I go to the Nov and Feb ones. It is $200 inclusive and it runs from 10 am Fri to 3 pm Sunday. There are 2 meals we are on our own - lunch Fri and dinner Sat because people like to go out. All the rooms overlook the ocean as does the crop room. It is worth every penny.

My 1st goal for January is to carve out more time for scrapbooking now that the holidays are over. I need to make time every week to play with paper.
Now in that time that I am carving out, I am going to try and put together page kits for my 1st 3 day crop in Marchl! I've only ever been to day crops, never a 3 day one where its cropping all day and night if you wish!! I'm so excited! I want to get the most use of my time at the crop and not have to over think everything so I'm hoping having pre-planned pages ala nicolejones911 from youtube will help get this done.

myboysnme , your beach retreat sounds delightful. If you were on the west coast I'd demand that you take me with you. I am moving right along on my album and only have 4 or 5 layouts left to embellish. It's a good day to get those done. I have a bit of a cold, it's raining, and I don't have anything to do that requires leaving the house. I never imagined I'd get this album done in a month. I am so pleased with my progress!!! Now I see the importance of having a good amount of embellishments. I think that's what's gotten me through it so fast. I've always bought more paper than embellishments and now I see that that has to change.

I organized, cropped, Picstitched and ordered all of my remaining 2016 photos while I was watching the Rose Parade. I am doing a 2016 highlights pocket page album, and so far only had Halloween pages done. This will be all the photos I need for about 10 page spreads. I'm trying to keep it simple with mostly photos and a few mixed media pieces on each page. I'm ready to scrap again after a long stretch of just cards and tags.

oaksong, I did something similar with my 2015 pictures and I was surprised by how much I liked it. I added in a few two page 12x12 layouts of events that needed more journaling and I liked how the whole year was scrapped in the end. It made me realize why PL appeals to people. Not that I'd do weekly layouts - monthly appealed to me more. But I get it now. I ended up with more of a 'slice of life' feeling and I liked it. Another bonus was I got those memories scrapped and into albums much faster than I normally would. Who knows? Maybe I'll do the same with my 2016 pictures.
