I posted a question in the digiscrapping subforum. About using CM, switching to Panstoria, using my vast amount of CM content. ... Since this board is so much more active, any digital scrapbookers who have insight, please go there and give me advice! Pretty please?

I will preface this by saying I am a distributor for Heritage Makers.
That being said, many CM users moved over to Heritage Makers when CM closed down. You can use all of your CM content (if you have them on your computer) in HM. Or you can create in Storbyook Creator and then upload to print from Hm. In fact, Rhonda Anderson is now a distributor with us and has developed a line of traditional products. So now we have both worlds to offer.

I am NOT a distributor, but have made the switch from Storybook Creator to Pastoria and altho I am still learning it, I like it. I like the content, the layout and the pricing.
I have worked with Photoshop in the past and think this is so much simpler to navigate and does what I need it to do and at a much more reasonable cost.

How is this all different from Shutterfly etc. I've always just done photobooks online but am open to new stuff.

I use photoshop as well. Never heard of Panstoria I might have to google it. Is CM Creative Memory? I know there's also one that was popular Memory Mixer?

I'm one who would always recommend PS/PSE, but I understand the desire to want to keep using your supply.
However, even though I could *technically* use stuff from a few years ago, I'm not sure I really want to. Being honest, how much of what you have is what you will use going forward? If the percentage is low enough, it might be a good time to switch to a different program.

I wanted to reply to you again because I wasn't thinking clearly when I answered before. Pastoria Historian replaces Memory Manager and is almost identical as far as I can tell to Memory Manager. I am using Hertitage Makers in place of Story Book to actually create my scrapbooks. That is the program I am still learning.

Thanks all. CM is creative memories, panstoria is identical, they bought the rights. May have to look into heritage makers as well. I find CM to be so easy to use and still like the content....

I switched to Panstoria from CM. I installed it on the same computer and it automatically loaded up all my CM artwork. I barely had to do a thing. It was super quick and easy. Slick! And I get to install it on two computers for the one price. So my son likes using it on the family desktop. :-)

thanks Lucy! I think I'll upgrade to Panstoria. I like how easy the software is. Don't have to learn anything. LOL
