I have exactly one pair of sneakers I can currently wear - and I hate them. I can't wear any of my shoes. I need to buy a pair (or two - one for winter/one for summer) of everyday (wear with jeans/trousers/capris/shorts) shoes/sneakers and I need to buy something that'll be a bit nicer for church/dressy wear (I would be thrilled if they work with skirts but I'll settle for working with dress trousers). requirements: -arch support or will work with my arch support inserts -everyday shoes need to be easy to put on - prefer no laces or buckles (I have arthritis which flares) -comfortable for all-day wear -I have narrow heels and ankle bones that rub easily (ouch) -size 10 US -wide toe box but normal to narrow elsewhere -no heels - bad knees/hips/balance -prefer not to spend the earth but willing to pay a bit more for a good shoe that fits and will last I would prefer available in stores vs online but online with a good return policy would work. I live in Florida so winter boots aren't an option Looking for either links to specific shoes or ideas on what sort of shoe to look for. Thanks

Sorry, not sure I can't help you with the shoe, but if you find a pair you want to give a try, Zappos has an excellent return policy if you need to order online.
Good luck!

Thanks footsmart.com has a good selection of shoes designed to fit various orthotics and special foot needs. I've been happy with everything I've ordered from them. You'd need to look at their return policy... I think it is good but I've never needed to use it.

I am a zappos girls through and through. I have custom orthotics, so finding the right shoes is imperative. For fairly cute, comfy sneakers, I got hooked on Taos sneakers. So amazing I ended up with them in 3 colors (I love shoes). TAOS SNEAKERS

Look at Skecher brand shoes. I love my Skechers.

Try Asics for tennis shoes. All the women I work with who have foot troubles love them, so I got a pair for my plantar fasciitis and they feel much better than Danskos or other brands I have.
For an everyday shoe try Alegria. I have 3 pair in different styles. Many of their shoes are made for people who are on their feet all day like nurses and many styles look like Dansko clogs, but mine don't look anything like that. For example look at the Alegria Khloe or Taylor slip on. I have a Hanna bootie I don't think you would like but it is so cute and comfortable. Amazon has about 3 pages of Alegria shoes you can see the styles.

My podiatrist recommends Clarks for my arthritic, RSD feet. For sneakers she had me buy ASICS.

My podiatrist recommends Clarks for my arthritic, RSD feet. Clarks are so comfortable! I got a pair of wedges last spring and I could wear them all day and my feet would not hurt.

Try Born brand. They are very comfortable. One of my girls elementary teacher's swore by them. She spent all day on her feet.

My Favorite shoes for the summer are the Sketcher Go walk slip ons. They have some with extra padding in the bottom ( they call it a Gogo mat) and they are so comfy! They look cute with capris and shorts too. They come in multiple colors ( I usually just get grey) And they come in larger sizes. the fabric on them is also a little bit stretchy, So it might help you in the area of needing a little bit more space in the toes and not the in heal. Any shoe place that carries Skechers, carries them.

Go to Zappos. Best customer service of anywhere!! They are really outstanding, plus they have a 365 day return policy. Paid for both ways. I use them so much and I love them. Pick 10 different shoes and have them sent to you. They're there the next day and you can return the ones you don't like immediately. YOu have a high CC amount, but it should balance out quickly if you don't linger on the returns.
I have narrow feet and am a size 10. I have plantar faciitis and high arches. I love Naot, Vionic and have just started with the cheaper Aerosoles which are not so bad. Clarks do not work out well for me and Allegras, which many people swear by, look like children's shoes to me. Just can't do it.
For sneaks, I wear Geox or Ecco, both expensive, but worth the price. LOVE them.
If you're on your feet a lot, Think! is a great brand and Wolkies are also for very high arches. They take a bit of getting used to, but once you wear them (a few hours each day until you're used to them), they're great. Fly London are also excellent but very pricey.
Good luck!

Another Clarks fan here. I have two pair in a Mary Jane style and another slip on type. They are well made, seem to last and are cute, comfy and work with jeans or skirts. You can sometimes find sales at Penney's or Dillards and I've bought them cheaper at Amazon.
Whatever you end up with, hope you can find a style that fits well and looks good.

Allegras, which many people swear by, look like children's shoes to me. Just can't do it. These Alegrias may not be what you commonly see. I have the last pair in black, the middle pair and I tried on the first pair.

Those look like a good possibility - are they lightweight? My biggest beef with my current sneakers is they are heavy and hard to get on and off (laces - and I need them tight to fit which then are harder to loosen) For fairly cute, comfy sneakers, I got hooked on Taos sneakers those are cute!

Sketcher shoes are very lightweight, which is great, but be aware that some styles don't work well for people with narrow heels.

Alegria is my go-to shoe. I have 30+ pairs. They are usually over $100 a pair; however, I buy them on clearance. They are true to size, and with my PF, they are the best. I also like Dansko but still prefer Alegria. Also, I went to a running store to find the right tennis shoe for me. Bought my initial pair there but replacement pairs are also bought online on clearance. I find my shoes on amazon, 6pm.com, and zappos. Also Alegria's are 60% off on some pairs right now here (which I also order from): www.alegriashoeshop.com/Alegria-Shoes-On-Sale-s/91.htm?gclid=CNHipuzYvdECFYQ7gQodmUMKtg

I bought a pair of Sketchers Flex Sole shoes in black. Seriously the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn! It is made out of flexible mesh fabric so it gets dirty pretty quickly. But it goes with pants/trousers. I bought them at Super Shoes. I need to get another pair in another color.

I have narrow feet too and can't wear Skechers, I like Jambu. I have a pair of black slip ones I wear in winter and in summer I live in my Mary Jane shoes. I love that the Mary Jane ones can be worn with skirts or shorts. They have Velcro straps,so easy to put on and off. I am also a no laces, no buckle girl. Mostly because I am always in a hurry when getting ready and don't have time to fuss around with nonsense like that. Jambu are great for narrow footed people.
