I'm too old for that type of program, but if you are into lifting, it might be your thing. I'd probably go with PX90 first, because they have a track record and all I can find about Builtlean on the net is advertising reviews.

It's a much different program Best, Marc Yes, and the American Heart Association recommends 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day FIVE DAYS PER WEEK. For most of us on this board - middle-aged women - this is a realistic and healthy goal. I still have yet to see anything but advertisement reviews for your program - let us know when there are some real-life, not paid-for/bartered for reviews.

I've used it (am using it). Specifically, the BL Transformation program and the program is excellent. As Marc noted, it's 3 x 30 min per week of strength training in a high intensity, interval format. It also incorporates a dynamic warmup and stretching as a cool down, so all your bases are covered. Marc also recommends doing cardio training or active recovery on non-strength training days such as walking, swimming, jogging, biking, etc, so the program is yours to evolve and modify to suit your needs and level of fitness at any stage of your life.
I've done P90X on two occasions in my younger years and both times I have injured myself - it's just too much and frankly unnecessary to work out that long, that much. I came to BuiltLean from Turbulence Training and Athlean X (both are also great) and I can say this program is by far my favorite. I am in my early 50's and very fit, and I honestly thought this program would not be challenging but I was wrong...big time. The compressed, HIIT format ensures that you can go all out, maximum effort each workout. I am dripping sweat by the end of each workout and I'm still amazed how a workout that is laid out so simply can be so effective.
Based on how impressed I was with the Transformation program I plan to next purchase BL Muscle and any other programs as I progress. And, the customer service is amazing...I often get answers from Marc himself directly.
Try it out for yourself - if you don't like it then you can ask for your money back within 60 days so there is no risk to test driving the program.

Thinking of starting the Builtlean program. Anyone utilized it? Thanks! I have used this program. I bought the transformation program a few years ago. I used it consistently for about 6 weeks and on and off since. I was seeing results. I didn't necessarily lose weight but I was getting leaner and more toned. This program is completely different than P90X which I have also done. Marc Perry's program gives you three thirty minute workouts a week, a nutrition plan and recipes. Plus he sends you fitness information and I have had updates to my transformation program for free and other programs for a discounted rate. He states that you can and should do something on other non strength training days but that could include tennis, swimming, running, etc. All of his workouts are full body workouts with old school exercises, burpees, chest presses, squats, etc. I just started the program again but I like to switch my workout up too but whats nice about this is it's possible to work in other workouts that you enjoy around his three days per week workouts. Also, I feel like he offers a lot of support. He's always sending new information on exercises, nutrition and diet myths. I feel like he really wants people to succeed. I definitely think the program is worth buying especially if you have a busy lifestyle and can only workout three days per week. My only negative would be that I wish he provided more recipes for his nutrition plan but there's so much online now that it's really not that big of an issue. Another thing, if you ask me I think P90X is too much! It IS possible to get an efficient and extremely effective workout in 30 minutes and I feel like Marc's program really proves that.
