I got a macbook laptop and bought icloud to have all phone and ipad pics upload there. I also have a dlsr that I want to get the photos onto the cloud, too. I went on the laptop yesterday and I can't figure out how to get access to the icloud photos on my mac to be able to edit them and send them off to be printed. I can see them on icloud.com but I can't do anything with them. Is there something I'm missing?
Can someone who is familiar with the mac system advise me how I can edit and print my photos? Should I get a program/app? A million thanks in advance if you can. I wasted over an hour last night and didn't edit one photo.

I use Google Photo. All of my phone pictures automatically upload to the Cloud and then I can edit them on my MacBook Pro. I have an older computer so I don't know if there is a better way.
ETA: my DSLR is also older, so no wireless uploads for me, but I'm sure it would be the same process.

are you not putting the photos into the photos program on the computer? I have an imac, and the photos go onto the computer itself, then into the cloud. You (as far as I know) can only edit while in photos on the macbook, ipad, iphone, not in cloud itself.
