Am I right in thinking that the last president with a young/school-aged *son* was Kennedy? That seems impossible, and I'm convinced I have to be forgetting someone.

No, that isn't correct. President Carter had a young daughter, Amy while in office. The Clinton's had Chelsea.

Kennedy was the last to have a young son while in office. There have only been daughters since.

But they were all older and didn't live in the White House. (I used to be a bit of a fan of Steven Ford - I liked the character he played on Young & the Restless when I was younger) |

I honestly forgot about Steven Ford (how could I?) but I don't think I knew about Carter's boys. Thank you all for playing along with my "Random Things I Wonder While Grocery Shopping" game!
