I'm going to be helping with a bridal shower for my soon-to-be DIL in a month and want to create scrapbook pages for her to remember it with. I haven't made a scrapbook in ages, but I'm a pretty competent crafter and artist, so I feel like this is something I can tackle - but I need ideas on what to do. I'm going to search on Pinterest, of course, but I'm wondering if anyone has done a bridal shower scrapbook and might have any suggestions for me.
So far I have one page made, with the invitation on it. (Not very original, I know...) I'm using an 8x9" scrapbook and cutting pages to fit into the binder.
Any ideas you might have or things you've done would be truly appreciated!

Did one of her friends make a list of her gifts and who they were from? It would be fun to use the list. You could photocopy it and reduce it to fit the page, if necessary.
I guess I would try to incorporate the wedding colors. Other than that - just have fun. It's a sweet idea!

Other things you could include are her registry list(s), food served, the cake (if it's a special one), or any shower games. Maybe you could get guests to write personal messages, best wishes or advice on small cards or tags to include. Also, I'd add one of the BH envelope inserts for the bride-to-be to save any cards received at the shower.

I have been to a couple of showers where photos were taken of the guests, and each guest was asked to either write a message to the bride or create a page for the bride (where scrapbooking was actually one of the activities at the shower). Another shower had the book already prepped, with an envelope with a blank shower themed journaling card on each half page for a guest to complete. They took photos of us there, too, but I don't remember if the plan was to attach the photo of each guest to the envy with her card? For the wedding album I did for my dd, I created a huge pocket inside the back cover to stash their wedding cards. Are you planning the shower? If not, I would definitely talk to the bridesmaids &/or the other organizers to find out what the agenda for the event is, so a LO for each "event" could be started. Congrats peasapie on your son's upcoming marriage!

Thank you so much for these suggestions! Yes grammadee, I am planning it with my daughter, who will be her future SIL. The bride's family live a few states away, so we have kind of adopted her here and feel responsible for the shower, as the rest of her bridal party live closer to her parents. However, I'm asking the bridesmaids to make up games or activities so that they all have a hand in it, and I will ask them what they come up with. We sent recipe cards out with the invitations, and I put a copy of that into the scrapbook, too.

I volunteered to photograph a friend's future DIL's shower in September. I took pictures of her opening each gift, as well as general pictures of the guests, the food, and the pile of presents. I made a title page and included the invitation on the second page. I was lazy and did 8x8 pocket pages. I printed some pictures 4x6 and others 3x4. I inserted blank journaling cards among the pictures so that the bride could add journaling. I didn't know most of the girls there. I used a pretty, floral Anna Griffin pocket album kit from HSN.
I gave the finished scrapbook to my friend in October. She was surprised and effusively thankful, since she was only expecting me to take pictures. She asked if she minded if she gave it to her future DIL. I said that I expected that she might give it to her future DIL and I helped my friend order prints of the pictures she wanted to keep for herself.
Well the wedding was in mid November. I missed Anna Griffin's Create event to go to the wedding. The bride did not come around to speak with me or anyone else at our table during the reception. After all that, I am disappointed that the bride has yet to thank me for the album or the wedding and shower gifts. My friend is mortified that her DIL hasn't mailed her thank you notes from the shower yet.

Then after the shower it can be slipped right into a page protector.
