What are some of your favorite techniques to use in your mixed media art/journal???
Lately I am into using different size tops to make circles. Also, I am into using my fingers to make spots everywhere! I love getting my fingers messy these days.

Yep, circles for me!!! Love, love, love them and can't get enough. I use all sorts of things to make circles. I also LOVE my black gesso splatters. Truly both are always "finishing touches" for me.

I like using stamps. I especially like the 'not so perfect' look that you can create with background stamps. So fun

I love doing image transfers! I like how quickly I can add details and such w/o having to draw them by hand. I like how easy it is to age things as well. I haven't done many on stretched canvas as to do one well, you need a harder surface ( or at least I do) but I do like to do them on gesso boards and wood pieces. I actually prefer to paint on wood to be honest. I realized this after I bought a TON of canvas though LOL

I've done them on canvas and fabric, paper etc. there are so many different transfer types, it's fun. I like glazing techniques with acrylic paints also, it's one of the newer things I've done.

I've been addicted to distress paints - love how they react with water to make runny drippy backgrounds.

I've been making collages and have been using the glazing technique with acrylic paints too!! I love the subtle change you can get and how the layers of glazing can create so much depth. Here is a new collage I just put on my blog using this glazing technique. My blog: Artful Scrapbooking
