.... climate change and LGBTQ rights (aka civil rights)! I'm sure there's more deletions to come asap.
UGGGHHH!!! Not at all surprised, but disgusted nonetheless!

I still think those pages could have been changed to reflect Trump's hopes for those areas during his Presidency instead of being deleted altogether.

That would require him to HAVE hopes and plans for those things. I don't think LGBTQ rights and climate change are exactly priorities on his agenda.

Well, I just heard yesterday that on inauguration day the White House has 5 hours to get stuff changed over from the previous President to the new President. I imagine part of that changeover includes the WH website as well. Did all that previous website info go to Obama's non-Presidential website (I assume he has one)? That's where it should be now, I would think.

Yes, the pages were probably created but site updates do take some time. It's not like a switch that is instantly flipped.
If these pages are still down next week, then you might have a substantive argument. Until then, I'm willing to let these people do their work.
These updates and new pages are going to be absolutely scoured for any error they might contain in order to lambaste the new president. It seems reasonable that they get everything correctly updated the very first time so as to prevent any misunderstandings.

Thank you @anmore . I guess I don't really expect people to understand what happens in the background of a major website transition (which, btw, is part of the job that I do), but I'll tell ya, some of this knee jerk "sky is falling" reactionary b.s. coming from people who should know better... mainstream media, I'm lookin' at you!...is simply poor journalism. In fact, I wouldn't bother to classify it as journalism because all it really is is sensationalism with the sole purpose of fear-mongering.

It's been less than 5 hours. It is called transition.
Unclench already.

The date and time of the inauguration wasn't announced yesterday. Even if there was no content, the pages could have titles and a web address. I could be wrong but only time will tell, I guess.

There's no reason why the switch couldn't have been immediate. Actually, there are reasons...it isn't necessarily as straight forward as you imagine. I do speak with some authority as I work in IT. If you're interested, this site gives a good layman's version of how it all works...and all of these pieces have to work together. There are a lot of pieces. More than 24 hours later and there are still no LGBTQ, climate change or immigration pages at whitehouse.gov.

If there isn't something up in a week, then it might be a problem.

How did they get their bios and his mission statement, team, and cabinet pages all switched so quickly?
Just curious...
