Nothing there that a few cans of white paint, a crowbar, and a gigantic dumpster couldn't fix.

This house is VERY close to me. I drive by it all the time. I've always wondered what the inside looked like.

Zillow has it estimated at 386K. It would probably take another 250K to completely renovate it, but still not an outrageous price for the size of the house and property. It made my own personal tacky meter fly off the charts, but obviously he's proud of it. I wonder if anyone bought it, Zillow says it's off the market.
ETA: Nevermind. Looking at the housing prices around it, it really wouldn't be worth buying and renovating, IMO. The last time it sold was in '98.

I. have. no. words. Gives a whole other meaning to "different strokes for different folks." The really scary part is this guy is serious... he really thinks it will sell.

So he worked all that magic in only 16 years while still putting folks under on a regular basis?
Impressive.

Can you imagine dating him and going to his house for the first time? I'd be looking around at all the different coloured lights, fog, lasers, and backlit everything and feel SURE he had drugged me...
Even texting a friend - "you've got to come get me, go passed the glowing fountain, through the eye door, make a left at like this really big goldfish, walk over the sun..." Knowing he's a doc with access to knock out juice, no one would believe I hadn't been drugged... O.o

Well I watched the whole video, with sound (don't judge me- it's only 6am here and my brain is working slowly), and I must say the artwork on the pool is really great! I laughed to see the reflection of pajama pants and socks when the camera went into the kitchen.
Is the area zoned for business? Would a new buyer be allowed to run it as a B&B? I was curios about the inside of the bungalow, but it's clearly not handicap accessible.
How ironic it would be if the river flooded and Poseidon's Fortress was flooded!
ETA- Reddit says it's on the market for eight figures, so at least $ 10,000,000.
And I was wondering if he was selling it as part of a divorce decree.

Ok. Um. The pool is pretty cool. The facade is pretty cool. The view is stunning. I could work with the kitchen and dining room. The rest. No. But whatever floats your boat, I guess!

Oh. Wow. I have no words! That was horrendous to watch and hear!
He's not just selling the house but everything in it? Is that common?
I agree with the poster who mentioned over the top with cheap upgrades. You think at least he would have added nicer wood trim around windows and baseboards.
I got the impression his marketing was due to a few million price point also.

The first thing that came to my mind was the Madonna Inn. I actually stayed in the Madonna Inn on my honeymoon. In the cave room. But the shower would not have fit four people. Four kids, maybe.
This was back in the 70s and it was on our way up north, so we thought it would be fun. We arrived late and left early, so I never got into the main part of the hotel, but I vaguely remember there was a lot of pink. There were no doors once you entered the cave room to the main cave. A smaller cave off to the side led to the bathroom. The shower was yet another cave with no doors and the water spilled down off a rock instead of out of a shower head. The thing that was a high point in the room, at first, was there was a stream and waterfall in the cave bedroom. But once we actually tried to go to sleep, the running water made us keep getting up to pee. And it had a chlorine smell.
The comment about leaving this guy's cave room unhappy was just too weird. He was like kink overdrive. I'm sure that house had other features that he would show you when he took you on a private tour. Wink, wink, nudge.
I'm going to have to go look it up on Zillow to see the price of the homes around it.
Did anyone else think it was weird, well, more weird that he kept talking about how special the bungalow was, yet that wasn't shown. It sure looked plain from the outside.

Here's the Zillow link. Any other realty site I've looked at gives about the same estimate, and the home around it are valued at between 300 to almost 500K. But it's not listed for sale.

I'll give you a bigger picture.
It's along a very busy county road in town on the Mississippi with roundabouts and his house in the mile stretch between Walmart and a large bridge. It is zoned for commercial towards the bridge (and probably the whole area)?because there is at least one home that has been converted into a business.
Real estate along the road: There is one large McMansion built about eight or so years ago, one large old historical house built 1890's is my guess, and the rest are (from what I can recall) 1930's to 1950's bungalow and ramblers /ranch style homes. Because of the river view and acces, they would go from 250k-450k but most would go for much less off the river.
Across the river is a small city/ large town. He appears to be across from a city park at least. Also, across from his view are busy railroad tracks that I've read have more than 60 trains a day (hence the new large bridge overpass built a 1/4 mile from this house).
I would love to live on the river, but I would never buy property in that area. Way too busy.

I don't know if it was the music in the video or the flashy lights, but my first thought was this guy like to make "movies" on the side or maybe naked yoga. Reminds me of a knock off of Barbi Bentons extreme home Hugh Hefner's ex's Mountain side "retreat" or it kind of looks like one of those "theme" room hotels.

@the Great Carpepezio - we are neighbors! I live in Sartell and have to drive by this monstrosity all.the.time! My husband showed me the video last week and we had a good chuckle - too bad he won't list the price so we can snatch it up!

I saw the link yesterday morning on FB and noticed when I drove by twice yesterday that there wasn't a sign either time. I wonder if it's a "private sale" or if the link just surfaced randomly and it isn't currently for sale.

I must ask what the price tag is. I wonder what the utilities run each month.....
It is as though the owner's tastes never matured past 18, rock groupie!

If you leave the cave bedroom disappointed you have no one to blame but yourself. Ha! I nearly spit iced tea out at that. That's where it got so creepy the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. There's not enough bleach in the world that would make any of those bathrooms feel clean enough. If walls could talk...

I would have actually been disappointed if he hadn't had on the open neck vest and necklace. He is definitely living in the wrong decade. He's a 70's porn maker with a massive love for LED lights. He really thinks someone one buy that house 'as is' and not rip everything out of it?? I do like the painting in the bottom of the pool. That was cool looking.

And then he talks about going into the bathroom to "clean-up in the 4 person shower"?!? Ewwwwwww!!!
The funny thing is that it's a great house if you take away all his "personal touches". The grounds are beautiful, and the house seems very nice. Too bad you would have to gut it to get rid of all the led/fog/tile inlays/custom weird crap.
