When we were in Utah last week, my nephew had a cooling pillow that my folks had got for him for his night sweats. He is on a lot of meds for his soon to be heart transplant and that's one of the side affects. The pillow helps keep his head cooler and he says it's helping him sleep. It's memory foam with the cooling inside. They got it at Costco for about $35. DH also gets night sweats with the diabetes so he was fascinated by it and bought one for himself. Now I think I want one!
CoolingPillow
They have different brands on Amazon and Bed&Bath but the Costco one (Aserta brand I think) seemed to be the best one and price. It's memory foam so t's a little heavy. You have to leave it out for 24hrs because it smells funny. Just wondered if anyone else had one or had heard of them?

We have that cooling pillow from Costco also. I bought one and then DH got one after I said how much I liked it. We also got the contoured cooling pillow (available in selected stores) to keep in the living room because sometimes one of us likes to nap on the sofa and the other pillows were a little too long.
I turn it around (not flip it over since it's only cooling on one side) if I happen to wake up and the wave of coolness is wonderful.
Even without that, it's the most comfortable memory foam pillow I've tried. Most just are too stiff.
ETA: I saw complaints about it smelling funny, but none of ours had an odor right from the start (I am familiar with that though because we've had a couple of memory foam mattress toppers)
From the link, the Costco pillow is most like the Dreamfinity - with little cooling bubbles instead of one large pad.

I saw the contour ones I thought it might be good for reading. When I want to lay on the couch or the love seat. Yea I think the one on the Amazon I posted was the closest to the Costco one the other ones all looked really bulky. I was surprised that DH's was not stiff it was really quite nice. He laughed because he knew I would want one.

I just bought one today for my guest room. I'm redecorating it since my brother and his dog moved out and the new comforter set has one more pillow sham than the old set did. I wonder if my next guest will like it or even notice it's different.

We have the costco ones too. We love them. At first, i was the only one that had one. Then both my DDs would start stealing it. We bought some for them too. My dh pretended he didn't like it much, but in the end, he also bought one. So that's 4 of 4 who love it.

I have one that I purchased from Sam's Club. I loved it at first, but now it doesn't seem to be as cool as it was in the beginning. I've only had it for a few months.

I will pick one up too and it will probably be stolen by my teens. I have a horrible time sleeping and hope this helps.

I got the Costco one. I've woken up several times all hot and sweaty and the pillow is so so hot. I'm not as impressed with it as I thought I'd be.

Oh I bet one of them would help me when I get vertigo. Need to look into what's available this side of the pond

Ok, I'm in too. Only because my fellow hormone sufferers are recommending.

It's interesting -
I wanted one of these pillows but didn't buy one bc the last time there was a Pea thread about them the reviews were unanimously horrible.

I have one similar to this one Gel Pillow and I really like it. It does feel cool when you first lay on it and I like that a lot.

I have one and while it is comfortable and cool to start, it never stays cool long enough! Truth is, I wish it were ice cold and stayed that way! Instead, I have to keep my A/C low at night, have fans on and sleep with just a sheet. My electricity bill is high, but at least I am sleeping.

I bought one last year and returned it. It was too *heavy* and didn't live up to the hype ~ at least to me. Glad it works for those who love it.

My husband has a pillow like that. He loves it. I think it feels like my head is on a concrete block when I try to sleep on it. I like squishy, flexible pillows.

My sister loves the one she got at Costco so I bought one. It was just too smelly for me even though dh says he can't smell a thing. I had to return it

I had to return it The smell thing is supposed to go away if you leave it out for the first 24hrs. I didn't put a pillow case on the one for DH for a day and it seemed to work. No funny smells.
