m.youtube.com/watch?v=XjJQBjWYDTsWhat do you think? Good point or politically correct? I get really mad when I read some of the comments. Why is it that when women stick up for themselves, they're called terrible names like "feminazis." Even by other women!

Is this the one sponosored by Always? If yes, I thought it was interesting that all the adults and the little boy took it to be something negative, and the little girls thought it meant something positive. Whenever someone has said to me "you (insert whatever) like a girl" my response has always been "DUH, I'M A GIRL!"

I wanted to see if the video feature works. I've always thought that saying was demeaning. I do like that the young girls thought it meant something different. Not sure if that really happened since it's basically a commercial, but I would hope so.

Yeah, I saw that. I've been going through a number of interpersonal struggles on this topic with friends and colleagues. It reaffirmed what I've been saying: that being "like a girl" is meant to hurt and insult in our culture. I think it's a serious problem.

No, I haven't seen this video before.
Scarlet, thanks for posting the actual video. I had no idea that we were able to do that on these message boards.
Now, for what I thought about the video: I love it. As women we should be proud of who we are and how God created us. Bravo to Always.

It reminds me of the "If you let me play" ad by Nike from the 1990s.

I love it and it makes me sad to realize how little we have changed in 20 years that it feels "new". We have a lot of work to do in this country and I sometimes feel so incredibly overwhelmed by sadness at how little we have done in all that time.
