Umm...is it just me or are all of her big giveaway posts (macbooks and $1000 cash) taken down on IG now? This is so deplorable and I will NOT be using the $10 coupon she gave me. What a disgrace. I cannot believe the stuff she has said to some of you. She can't pay her rent?! Wow. What a piece of work! Probably another scam. I usually call out companies who do giveaways but never declare winners by asking if winners had been drawn. I tend to not continue doing business with the ones that never reply and seriously side eye the ones that say they reach out to the winners but don't post the names publicly (there's a reason why most states require lottery winners to be revealed...it maintains the integrity of the lottery because it's easy to say someone won and the organizers simply pocket the money if they don't). A lot of times, they do forget and will post winners after the reminder, but it really annoys me when businesses do stuff like that. The whole point of a giveaway is taking something that costs them a negligible amount of money to get their customers to market for them by sharing posts, tagging friends, etc in order to grow their social media following. It's not that hard to actually follow through. The most common that don't have follow through are company sponsored blogs and I bet that they simply think that the business is going to verify it was posted but never follow up to make sure the prize was given away and blog owner keeps it! Call me a cynic, but that's what I think anyway, lol. The last time I called a company out on it, I ended up winning the prize when they said, 'oh yeah, we completely forgot, check back in an hour'...I felt guilty winning. I usually figure asking would disqualify me because it would look like they chose me because I gave them the reminder (in this instance, my blog name and IG name weren't the same, so it wasn't obvious...but when friends tagged me on the announcement, the shop figured it out).

Hopefully after reading all of this she will change her ways. And I don't blame you for not giving her anymore of your money. There are WAY too many other places to shop at that give you the service you deserve.

Someone's been cleaning up their dirty mess of scam-ventures. Also, you're running a scrapbook supply store out of your own home (as evidenced by the parcels sitting on her porch waiting to get picked up), got 36k followers on IG (in comparison, Becky Higgins, current Queen of Rolling-in-the-Scrap-Dough is at 74k!) but can't pay your rent? Yeah, something stinks here. (there's a reason why most states require lottery winners to be revealed...it maintains the integrity of the lottery because it's easy to say someone won and the organizers simply pocket the money if they don't) I don't know about this. I'm a very privacy-minded person. It makes sense to publish the name of the giveaway's winner social media account/handle (just don't use your own name as the handle if you want to be remain private online), not the lottery winner's real name to me. Then again, we have a heavily regulated national lottery in place in my country. They offer the possibility to go public or remain private, financial help, money management classes, anonymous meet-ups for group talk with other lottery winners, individual psychological help, etc. Winning a lot of money and it being made public can really mess with your life forever. I couldn't deal with it if everyone knew (in the near-impossible hypothesis of me winning since I never participate ).

Not every state requires outing of the winners, but most of them do. Hubby and I always say that on the off chance we win, before the claiming time is up, we'll establish a trust, a business, etc...something so our actual names don't make it public...OR we'd change our names before we claim and then change them back down the line. Not that I'm holding my breath or anything, lol.

I steered clear of this shop after seeing her never ending drama with Christy Tomlinson. She was awful to Christy and some of her friends.

I HATE it when companies don't follow good practices for giveaways!! No purchase necessary is totally a rule! Silhouette just posted about giving away curio supplies if you tag a project you make with your curio. I asked "what if we don't have a curio??" I think messy box did something similar (tag your kit and win a prize!) and BH gives prizes for purchasing things in her shop. That's not okay!

My mystery box arrived today. I had ordered four. I didn't know what to do or what to say while I was waiting. I was worried about my box arriving and my 50% off refund (which was in my account this morning).
Once again she blew me away! I couldn't have been happier with what I received. It was very generous.
How is that fair to the peas who's two boxes seemed to be one? I just don't know. I don't know what to say. I'm still trying to compose my thoughts, but I wanted to give an honest update at the same time.

It's just so bizarre how hit or miss these boxes were/are! No consistency whatsoever it seems.

This was from the emailed newsletter. I was unsure if applied to anyone, but it did apply to me. I had ordered four additional items in the sale and had forgotten. But they were not included in my box.
"Each time I have a huge sale, my customer base grows. Which is AMAZING... but each time I also learn what I need to "grow" on my website so it behaves itself. You might see a partial refund come your way for oversells that occurred during that sale. Just look in the refund notes to see what items were refunded! As always, thank you endlessly for shopping with me as I grow! You're the bomb.com and never forget it!"
I received a PayPal email that the refund had processed.

I ordered one of the $15 clearance boxes, and received it today. Wow, it is jam-packed. I hate to say it after what others received. I got 28 really nice items, including stamps, ephemera, cards. 6x6 pads, all from lines that I love and didn't have. I also got 20 papers, mostly Crate Paper Hazelwood and Maggie Holmes Gather. I am a very satisfied customer.

My box arrived today. I'm super happy with it. And I was afraid it wasn't going to turn out that well.
I know mystery boxes are just that-a mystery, but I don't do all this angst in scrapbooking. It's supposed to be fun. I've ordered mystery boxes from companies in the past that I am familiar with and looove their products. This one was a crap shoot and it turned out okay. That being said, I don't think I'll order one again from this site as there is no consistency. And that sucks.

I wouldn't be upset with my box except for the fact I ordered 2 and got what appears to be one box. That really seems to be the biggest problem, is people that ordered 2 boxes only got one box worth of stuff.

I wondered if maybe there would be $15 refunds for the two boxes that seemed like one (after I got the newsletter) because as far as I know the people who ordered single boxes seemed content.

See, you ordered one box and got a lot more than people (like me) that ordered two boxes. It doesn't make sense. I got about 12 items and 16 pieces of paper total. No one should feel bad they received good boxes, the only one at fault here is the owner. What is the Christy Tomlinson drama? Are there cliff notes somewhere out there to read?

I steered clear of this shop after seeing her never ending drama with Christy Tomlinson. She was awful to Christy and some of her friends. This is a biggie for me. If you walked into an actual business and the owner was there arguing with people right in the middle if their business, people would agree that this person was very unprofessional. So if you carry on your business on social media and also use social media to fight publicly with other people, then you are doing that in your place of business and it is still very unprofessional. I've seen similar things at the original peas as well. Someone would complain about a business and the owner would turn up and fight with people instead of providing actual customer service. I have no idea where people get the idea that this is the way to behave when they are the face of a company. Save

Iirc there were a few incidents. Basically the ink road would make some sort of passive aggressive comment on her own photos that were obviously geared towards with christy or one of her friends. And christy wasn't afraid to speak up. But the ink road would continue to instigate drama with her. Neither side looked very good--but christy Tomlinson doesn't have any customer service complaints that I know of. I generally side with the one who runs a good business.

The drama started between The Ink Road and Reset Girl from a blog post (maybe?). Then it seemed that Christy Tomlinson decided to be the hammer and RG stayed out the actual back and forth in the comments. There seemed to be an issue with TIR writing reviews of different kits and somehow it went off the rails with RG and claims of banning TIR from ordering from her shop. Then #teamresetgirl and #theinkroadsucks and mean girl comments that were embarrassing that an adult woman would post on public social media. As an outsider it was a weird train wreck to see. Happy sleuthing!

I got mine today. It's cute and I will use the stuff for sure. I'm just disappointed because when I ordered it said it was 2016 stuff. This is all older things.

I had followed the "initial" drama with The Ink Road back in October and even I didn't remember the shop's name when this thread got posted. So, honestly, nicolep no need to feel so bad about it. However, I think the shop's name has been engraved in our pea memories now! So sorry for everyone dealing with this drama! I hope the claims with Paypal go through for everyone (and that she'll be red-flagged by them). Being the nosy cat I can be, I just checked her Insta and realised that: 1. she didn't actually advertise her clearance boxes on social media (weird) 2. or she deleted that post (hmm, one would wonder why if that's the case) 3. these clearance boxes were probably the stuff from her unsold Yay Boxes (somebody mentioned on this thread getting some Pocky) 4. and might just be the "second wave" of "winter boxes" (I'm assuming you might have ordered what she's referring to in this post) 5. in which case, did you all get a box of the same size as those shown in the IG picture? 6. don't trust grown-up women who refer to each other as girlboss and babe all. the. freakin'. time. They'll bring the drama like no one else does. 7. her business has a YT account if giving some virtual thumbs down makes you feel any better 8. I'll just be the b***h who says it but if you haven't even finished your very first scrapbook album ( in 6x8 size nonetheless) before opening a scrap shop, Imma side-eye you (especially if you keep attracting major shop drama) Uh, oh. I guess it actually wasn't engraved in the pea's memories. Just like you said in #6. They'll bring drama like no one else does. I really hope this thread changes the minds of some of you peas.
