At first I thought it might be a pinched nerve or something but, it doesn't seem to be getting any better. I think I may have to call a podiatrist.
Have you ever experienced anything like this?

I don't know if it is the same but I just had surgery to fix my sciatic nerve because my foot was numb all the time and the rest of the leg was getting there. I went to a neurologist. I have heard though that sometimes numb toes can be the sign of diabetes.

Numbness in the foot area are a sign of diabetes, so you might want to have a blood sugar test run, just to eliminate that possibility.

Seems like their was another thread recently about this, and there were a variety of things mentioned that could cause numbness. I would start with your primary care doctor.

I have recently been numb on the bottom right side of my foot. I went to the podiatrist and he said numbness isn't very worrisome in the foot. He thinks I irritated a nerve and thinks it will take at least 4 weeks to heal. Granted, the numbness is in a different area, but just to let you know it may not be worst case scenario.

It can also be caused by low B12. My husband was diagnosed with it when he had some numbness in his foot. Google it and you may be surprised at all of the problems that can surface when your level are out of whack.
