I decided to draft up a pattern for crochet that doesn't require seaming, it's worked in the round. I am thinking of submitting it to the pussyhat project as a free crochet pattern, would anyone be willing to test the pattern out for me? I'm pretty sure the hat portion is good since I recycled most of it from an old pattern I did, but the ears are new and I wrote it out after I made it so there may be errors: rollerscrapper.blogspot.com/2017/02/free-pussyhat-pattern.html

Very cute! I like the different color on the ears! I wouldn't mind testing it for you but it may take me a couple of weeks before I can since I am working on a few other small projects right now.

I wish I knew how to crochet. It's really cute though. I can knit, so I wonder if I could teach myself to crochet? I think I'll go take a look at Youtube.

How cool! I wish I knew how to crochet, too. I took a class once a million years ago but it didn't stick.

That is super cute!
I knit and I've made 6 pussyhats this month (in the round, just made it up as I went along). I've tried to crochet and my hands just don't seem to be able to do it! I can awkwardly make a chain, but that's about it. I'll have to give it a try again sometime.

If you are going to learn this uses very basic stitches, look up single crochet, the hardest parts are the decreases the sc2tog, and those are only hard if you pull your yarn too tight. Crocheting gives me fond memories since my mom taught me while we watched Obama's inauguration in 2009. If you're afraid to try the full hat, try an amigurumi, it's a small stuffed animal, it uses the same techniques but works up much faster so you'll feel more confident :-)

The closest I've come to crocheting is this kit that dd and I bought at Costco. She doesn't know how to crochet either but we were planning to learn together this summer. Maybe I'll surprise her by already knowing.

Your design is much more attractive than the more popular design.

Your design is much more attractive than the more popular design. Thank you! I know the original design was meant to be accessible for new knitters, but I think for crochet anyway, this is pretty easy. The ears are a little bit hard, but not overly so, I based them off of other ears but made them as simple as possible.

That's cute! I hate to sew seams so only make hats in the round and would offer to test if it was knitted, but I don't know how to crochet.

I'll also test it as soon as I finish my current knitted Pussyhat. So I'll start on Friday, if that's okay.

All that's going to change this Sunday, though, when I have my first crochet lesson. I hope I can eventually make your hat, Grom Pea! I also signed up for a knitting class at a local yarn shop. I can totally see me becoming addicted to yarns. I loved being in that shop.

We will complete that whole freaking kit together.

That one is adorable. Love the ears too. TFS. Just sent a screenshot of the page to my dd. She is a much faster crocheter than I am.

I'll start this tomorrow but I can't guarantee that I'll get it done soon. I really wanted to crochet a pussy hat but never got around to finding a pattern. Thanks.

Check out Mikey from The Crochet Crowd. The Crochet Crowd websiteAnd if you check out their Youtube channel you can learn everything from the beginning. How to hold your hook. How to position your body.

I decided to draft up a pattern for crochet that doesn't require seaming, it's worked in the round. I am thinking of submitting it to the pussyhat project as a free crochet pattern, would anyone be willing to test the pattern out for me? I'm pretty sure the hat portion is good since I recycled most of it from an old pattern I did, but the ears are new and I wrote it out after I made it so there may be errors: rollerscrapper.blogspot.com/2017/02/free-pussyhat-pattern.htmlI'm going to crochet group tomorrow night, ok if I take it along?
