It's incredible that his religious base could overlook/make excuses for that kind of behavior. I dunno, I'm agnostic but I'm pretty sure a prayer breakfast - especially right after a Navy SEAL was killed in a botched operation - is not the place for jokes.

I've been struggling with this as well - not just this particular instance, but his overall attitude that has rubbed off on so many (what I thought were) good people.
