It certainly is important to choose your spouse carefully because they have a lot of control if you get sick or die.
I don't know this family, but from what I've read, the kids and the wife have been fighting for 35 years, and Casey Kasem chose to stay w/ her even though his kids hated her. I'm sure not saying he got what he deserved, because she sounds pretty awful, but it's certainly not surprising that his kids and wife didn't come together at the end and agree on his medical care, his burial, etc.

She's crazy. Totally nuts.
I also remember her from Cheers and didn't like her then either.

I think she's a whack job. Casey Kasem grew up in Detroit and spent a year or two living in my small town here in MI during/after college as he had aunts and uncles here and worked in one of their grocery stores. Our local paper had a piece in it when he died and his cousins said his wife definitely has some issues and they blame the problems on her.
About twenty years ago either his aunt or mother was in the nursing home where my mother was working. My mom was assigned to take care of her and met Casey Kasem several times. She said he was one of the nicest people she has ever met.

This is morbid, but where is his body being stored and what condition is it in? To my knowledge he wasn't cremated, so how does the body storage work? He isn't preserved like a mummy!
