I haven't even really had a chance to share. My oldest son, Captain in the US Army, came home from a 8 month deployment to Kuwait (but was gone for 3 months before that in training, we got to see him once in May, his wife got to see him twice in May.) Due to some mechanical difficulties with the plane once they were in the US, it ended up taking him almost 48 hours to get home. He brought almost all the guys in his company (he's the Company Commander) home with him, and usually would have to stay and get them all checked in, but his next-in-command took that over. And why? Well, because one of those two times he saw his wife in May, she got pregnant. On purpose. She was due Feb. 5 and they wanted to get him to her asap once he was in the States. She wasn't where he was stationed because she had come home while he was gone, living with her mom (and their other 2 little boys, Gabriel age 5 and Michael age 2.) So he not only had to get to his base, but get here, and he was beyond exhausted, having been awake for more than 48 hrs with a few 15 minute catnaps. So yeah, you know where I'm going with this... She went into labor less than 48hrs after he got home (here in our hometown). And she went so quickly that they did not make it to the hospital. Thankfully her doula was already there, and her doula is primarily a homebirth certified midwife. Baby Aiden was a big 9lbs and 22inches. My dil is only 5'1 and her other babies were just at the 7lb mark. We saw them that night, but my son doesn't even really remember it, he was still so extremely tired. He has to go back to work next week, so will be leaving them again for a short time while he gets them a house (they already know where) and gets everything moved in. Then they will join him there and life can settle in to their new normal. Son home from deployment and 7th grandson born. Yeah, it was a very good week.

That's so great! Congratulations!
SEVEN grandsons?! Tell me there's some estrogen in there somewhere? (Not to the same extent, but were heavy on the boy side at our house too. Little boys are wonderful!)
