It's weird...I'm not sure why she was famous exactly, apart from being a slightly bonkers upper class girl but she was self deprecating and funny and it's sad that she's died at just 45. She had a brain tumour apparently.

I saw that. Despite being the ultimate posh girl, (Prince Charles was her godfather) she always came across as warm and funny. And accessible too.

I remember seeing her on a quiz show a good few years ago and she was so funny and quite possibly very drunk. It's sad that she's died so young.

Her full name is Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, she was a London Socialite who was close friends with Prince Charles. Her Dad taught Charles to ski. These pictures give a flavour of her life. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38912628

It's sad. She had a good heart and just made some wrong choices in her life imho.

Is is very sad. I agree with you gillyp she did make some bad choices and she did come across as a warm and fun person in her heart. She was also totally honest admitting the mistakes that she made in life and blamed no one but herself.

This popped up on the news here yesterday. I don't really know who she is, but as far as the brain tumour is concerned, pituitary tumours are often benign and they can be removed with no further issues. I read a little more about her and the articles I read did indicate her tumour was benign.
It seems more likely that it was something to do with her history of drug abuse (some sort of cardiac event) perhaps at her own hand. Often people with a history of cocaine use will have heart issues later on.

They said she had been diagnosed with the tumour about a year ago I believe but not that it killed her.

I was sad to see this. She had her problems but always came across as a genuine warm person.
